“I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Nutrish for Cats. I received a sample of Nutrish for Cats to facilitate this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.”   20140812_134335   We love our kitties. We’ve had two of them for almost 3 years and we adopted our third in April. I’m not sure why, we were fine with two. But I’ve always wanted a Siamese cat and when we saw her up for adoption I just knew I had to have her. Our kitties are Spice, Zena and Angel. Their names came with them when we adopted them and we felt like they fit perfect.   cats We generally buy them whatever food is on sale. I know that we shouldn’t. I know that they need healthy cat food. It’s healthier for them. I was excited to try Nutrish for Cats to see if they liked it. I never really realized how many fillers are in most cat foods. I really need to step up my game with our fur babies. My babies deserve the best cat food!

The first natural cat food from Rachael Ray Nutrish. Real meat like chicken or fish is the #1 ingredient in these delicious recipes. There’s never any junk like meat poultry by-product meal, artificial flavors or preservatives. Just simple, wholesome recipes with a great taste your cat will instinctively love. Rachel Ray and Mom Central sent us a wonderful gift package! We received dry and wet food for the cats and recipes and brown rice for us! Also included was a “big ol bag of cat nip”. We tried it our on Angel and Spice. They had lots of fun!! catnip Want to try Nutrish for Cats? Check out these  Nutrish Coupons! But I looked up brown rice recipes on RachelRay.com and from a Brown Rice Pilaf. This will go great with our chicken. So I was all excited to try my new recipe and we all love rice so I just knew it would be great!   20140812_173500 All you need is: 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil 1 Handful of whole wheat thin spaghetti, broken into little pieces 1 cup brown rice 2 cups chicken stock salt and pepper Then…. In a high-sided covered skillet over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add the spaghetti and toast untill golden brown. Add in the rice and toss for about 1 minute. Stir in the stock and bring to a boil. Then cover and simmer for 40-45 minutes. Full with fork and serve 20140812_173445 Well…My daughter had a friend over and her mom came to get here just as the spaghetti noodles were “browning” on the stove. needless to say they got a little black. I should have started over right there but I went ahead and finished the dish. Unfortunately the dish tasted a little burnt. So…it was not a big hit with the kids. I ate about half my serving. BUT – I will try it again!!   20140812_185504 Connect with Nutrish for Cats – Nutrish Twitter:http://www.twitter.com/nutrish Nutrish Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/nutrish Nutrish Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/nutrishforcats

  1. If I had cats I would definitely get them this food as I love Rachel Ray.

  2. I have a Blue Russian cat named Shadow. She was a stray that adopted us when we bought our house. She’s a great cat!! I would love to try her on Nutrish. It looks like great food!

  4. My parents are on vacation, so I’m feeding their cats. You can tell they don’t love the food I’m serving because they aren’t rushing to eat even after their bowl has been empty (I go back twice a day so it’s never empty long). I should surprise the kitties with some Nutrish so they don’t look so apathetic to their meal.

  6. No cats here. We’re dog people. What a unique idea to package food for the fuzzies and for the humans 🙂

  7. Hey you know the food has to be good coming from Rachel Ray!

  8. We have six cats (three boys, three girls) and our oldest female Princess is incredibly picky, I think she’d enjoy this cat food though (she’ll only eat the expensive natural kind :P).

  9. We have a stray cat that we’ve been taking care of for 2 years and I bet she’d love this! She’s very picky and it’s hard finding foods she likes.

  11. I have two cats…Sugar and Spice

  12. My cat’s name is Ashley.

  13. I used to have cats as a child and preteen. I became allergic to cats once I got older. I definitely miss having a cat around, though!

  14. I have two cats. Romeo and Mini. Romeo is my sweetheart and Mini is the little destroyer of the home. Your cats are very pretty.

  15. I’m going to ask my daughter about this because her cat has become a bit more finicky with her food. Thank you!

  16. I am going to have to get some of this for my cats, they would love it I’m sure.

  17. Those are some beautiful cats…if I were a pet owner I’d want to give my cats the best I can.

  18. Your kitties are just adorable and it looks like they really like their food. My parent’s have a cat named Bob (after Bob Marley) who would really enjoy some Nutrish.

  19. We don’t have any pets, but I can understand why people would want to feed that member of their family just as healthy as they feed their own children. 🙂
