My family recently made the decision to give up cable. We were tired of paying the high costs when we really didn’t need all the channels provided, and my husband  and I only watched a few shows. We knew we wanted a service that did provide some of the shows we all love but for a fraction of the cost. I was asked to review a month of Sling TV, it really is the perfect alternative to cable!

What is Sling TV you may be asking yourself?  Sling TV is the best of live tv for only $20 per month (channels are basically what you would typically find on basic cable) and offers no contract or equipment. You can also add on channel packages for $5 a month per package.

Watch instantly. There’s no eight-hour window where you’re stuck waiting at home. There’s no cable guy. There’s no cable installation. Just the live TV you want.

  3. That sounds great! We’ve been thinking about getting rid of cable, but there are a few channels we really love that only seem to be on there. Looks like Sling has them though. Awesome!

  4. This is my first time hearing about this! We got rid of cable and this really sounds like a viable option.

  5. We use Sling and my husband loves it. We get all the channels he needs and the price is certainly right.

  6. Sling TV sounds amazing. My husband and I often talk about how we have way too many channels. Thanks for sharing with us.

  7. Sling is so much cheaper than cable. We get ours through our home fees so unfortunately, we can’t opt for the cheaper option!

  8. If you buy the HBO extension, does that get you HBO go on your tablet, too? If those types of options are available, what a great purchase this would be.

  9. We gave up cable also, and it’s been ok so far. Although I’m still missing out on some of the shows I enjoyyed. I love that you can add your favorites with Sling TV. Might be the perfect solution for me.

  10. I haven’t heard of Sling but this did make me think about how much is available outside of cable. Most TV shows are available to stream from the channel’s website and movies are too. Will have to look into this.

  11. I have heard great things about Sling TV. I really like how you only have to pay for the channels that you will actually watch.

  12. What a great way to get access to all of your favorite channels. It’s nice that Sling TV is accessible on so many devices.

  17. This is so cool! I’ve been saying for the longest time that someone needed to come up with a way to subscribe just to the channels we want.

  18. These sound like some great deals.
Really makes you consider ditching the cable.

  19. I hate cable’s ridiculous prices. But it seems like my friends who have ditched cable all end up coming back because adding the channels on piece meal adds back up plus they need internet. I need to do more research on sling, netflix and all the cable alternatives so I can make a truly informed decision, thanks for sharing your review on Sling, this one has been the most informative one I have read so far!
