Spring is finally here! To me, it felt like winter would never end! I am ready for warmer weather and to enjoy some yummy spring goodies. Tastykake has come out with a spring line of delicious flavors to make you happy that spring has sprung!!

• Tastykake is bringing back it’s sweet Lemon and Strawberry Kandy Kakes just in time for spring. Lemon Kandy Kakes feature a white coated vanilla sponge cake with a lemon creme filling. Strawberry Kandy Kakes are white coated vanilla sponge cakes with a strawberry creme filling.
• Both Kandy Kakes are available in 8 oz. six-count boxes and have an estimated retail price of $4.49.

I was able to sample some of their new flavors. TastyKake has always been a go to snack in my home, I am so excited about the new variety of flavors. My favorites are the Strawberry and Lemon Kandy Kakes. They have such a sweet and rich flavor to them. I love snacking on them while I am enjoying a cup of coffee.  Both of my children love the different flavored donuts. Powder sugar coated with sweet fruit flavors.  They have been asking every day for a week now if they can eat them for breakfast every morning! These are perfect to enjoy outside on your back porch during the beautiful spring weather. Definitely give these a try soon!

Peach, Strawberry and Orange Mini Donuts

Lemon and Strawberry Kandy Kakes

Tastykake has created a delicious and easy spring recipe to make with the Lemon Kandy Kakes!

Lemon Kandy Kake Cheesecake Cups

Ingredients: 

• Lemon Kandy Kakes
• 8 oz. cream cheese
• 1 cup confectionary sugar
• 1 cup whipping cream
• 1 jar of lemon curd
• Whipped cream to top

Instructions:

1. Combine cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream into large mixing bowl for the “cheesecake” filling.
2. In a small jar, break up Lemon Kandy Kakes to form the bottom layer, or the “crust”. 
3. Layer on about two spoonfuls of the cheese mixture and one spoonful of the lemon curd.
4. Top with whipped cream and enjoy!
