Home Subscriptions That Make Your Life Better

In some ways, life is a subscription service, actually, it is in many ways. We have to eat every day and that means going to the grocery store at least once a week for a few essentials. You can’t really opt out. You can change stores, and change the frequency of shopping but you are going to keep doing it for the rest of your life.

The same is true for maintenance drugs such as blood pressure and blood glucose medicine. You also have to periodically buy new clothes. Get a haircut, and pay travel expenses. All of these things could be considered types of subscriptions.

Your home has any number of subscription services both metaphoric and literal. There are certain things that simply have to be done on a regular and timely basis. The only real question is whether you will be fulfilling those responsibilities, or hiring someone else to do them. Here are a few of those home subscription services that can enhance almost any home:

Pest Control

The best insect control companies tend to offer some type of subscriptions service. And depending on where you live, it is usually a pretty good deal. Some pests are seasonal. And every season brings different pests you have to deal with. Some are year-round nuisances.

Dealing with them requires more than just knowledge about insects. In also requires knowledge about chemicals. Beyond the knowledge, you need to be able to source those chemicals in quantities that make sense for a single user. Once you have a bunch of chemicals, you need to set aside a safe place to store them, and at the right temperature.

The other option is just to have a pest controls subscription that gets you a periodic visit from a professional as needed. They will be equipped to see what treatments are actually needed, providing the right pest control for your changing needs. It is the kind of subscription that can greatly enhance the quality of life for everyone in the household.

Lawn Services

Whether you want to do a complete home and garden makeover or just keep things looking presentable, there is a good reason for looking into a lawn care subscription. Sure, you can cut the grass about as well as the next person. But a lawn care specialist likely has more professional equipment that can do the job even better.

And lawn care is a lot more than trimming the hedges. It is also taking care to keep the grass alive and looking healthy. There may also be a gardening component in the mix. All of this is much more challenging if you have an oddly shaped yard or one that is on a steep slope. If you want your yard looking good all year, you will want some type of lawn-care subscription.

Staples

A home is full of staples that you can’t live without, at least not comfortably. Your favorite toilet paper would be just one example. There are definitely inconvenient times to discover that you are out, and no one bothered to pick any up on the last run to the store.

But such staples can be put on subscription services. Amazon has a pantry service for its members that allows you to receive certain items on a recurring basis. One of the best subscriptions you can have for your home is for the staples you can’t afford to be without.

Wifi

One day, cell coverage will be so fast and inexpensive that we will not need home wifi. But for now, wifi is a must for every home regardless of the number of people living in it.

We find services, local businesses, and answers to questions with it. We get our entertainment through it. We communicate with family and friends over it. And if you work at home, you are also relying on it for your living. Wifi is no longer an option. It’s a necessity.

No one likes the idea of setting up yet another subscription. But some subscriptions for the home can make life easier, safer, and better all around. Pest control, lawn care, staples, and wifi are just a few. Once you find a service that you like and a provider you can trust, take the next step to see if that comes in a subscription form. You’ll be glad you did.
