Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life – Movie Review/Giveaway

We had the opportunity to watch a great kids movie last night – Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life. I had my son preview the trailer and asked him if he was interested in getting it. He said sure, it looks good.

So…. Hunter and watched it and we were both pleasantly surprised. It was a great movie. Not your typical kid movie, this movie had “meaning” and “messages”. It had of the corny kid stuff too and we laughed at several parts, but it some thoughtful moments too.

Jeremy is 12 years old and his 13th birthday is coming up soon. His father left him a mysterious box to be given to him on his 13th birthday, but it’s locked and the keys are no where to be found. Jeremy and his best friend Lizzy went on many adventures trying to find the keys.

As soon as the movie was over, Hunter said, “That was and awesome movie! I want to watch it again!”

If you have children 8-14 this would be a great movie to rent or buy. I’m not sure if Savannah, age four, would like it. She fell asleep, poor baby.

Starring Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino and Emmy Award winner Joe Pantoliano. This movie is rated PG.

Foldin’ Money – Design Kit

Foldin’ Money Review/Giveaway – Great Idea for Valentine’s Day

Looking for a unique Valentine’s day gifts? How about dollar bills shaped like a heart? Foldin’ Money kits would be a great way to make em! These would be great for kids and adults alike.

Make Money valentines! It’s easy with these unique money making shapes.

I always give my co-workers a little treat and card for Valentine’s Day. And don’t forget the kids teachers and neighbors. I go a little crazy during the holidays. I think this year I will take my money and make these adorable shapes and pass them out instead.

I received a kit for review. Hunter and I sat down one night and tried it out. The directions are simple and easy. The only thing I was afraid to do was use adhesive or tape. So we made ours without. But the directions do say to use double sided tape, otherwise the shape won’t stay together. The tape will stay because money is made from fibers.

Just take a bill any amount…

And….

Aren’t these cute?

Foldin’ Money Kits are designed to work with either U.S. or Canadian currency. Each kit comes with directions to make 4 different designs. And there are  four different variety packs.

Would you like to try out a Foldin’ Money kit for yourself? One reader will get the Red Collection. See giveaway directions below.
