Since I’ve been staying home with Savannah these last few months, I’ve been looking for different crafts to do. I have so many scraps, but don’t know what to do with them!

I found this really cool website, GreenKidCrafts.com that puts together small craft kits that are easy and fun! All the crafts are Earth Friendly. Yeah!

At GreenKidCrafts.com they use recycled supplies whenever possible. Most of the materials can then be recycled. Foam and plastic materials are not used and packaging is minimal. I’vvve seen some crafts at the stores and the packaging is horrible! Shipping materials are also recycled. They also offset 100% of the carbon dioxide generated by their business and help to fund the development of renewable energy projects across the United States. I Love Green Companies!!

So how does it work?

Green Kids Crafts is a monthly craft subscription. They send out 3 craft kits a month and gear it toward the childs age. All materials are included, except scissors and glue. Some adult supervision and help may be needed. Examples of material s that may be include are recycled paper, recycled felt and recycled ribbon. Others are natural materials like canvas, noodles, stones, wool yarn, shells, cotton fabrics and wood. Sometimes salvaged buttons are included to! The subscriptions are $19.95 and again you get at least 3 crafts a month.

These are great for grandparents or relatives for gift suggestions. I know Savannah would love getting these in the mail.

So…..The crafts come like this. Three small packages.

We decided to do the Easter Egg Craft to decorate for Easter. These were very simple. Egg shaped card stock and scraps of yarns and ribbon, as well as little felt shapes.

Next up was the paper necklaces. Another simple craft, however, Savannah had a hard time wrapping the paper around the pencil. So I did those. But she was able to cut the paper and bead the necklace and bracelet.

We are still waiting to do craft number three, but it’s a greeting card craft. I should have done it for Mother’s Day. But I do have some Graduation cards to make….

Do you order stuff online? Silly question, most of us do at some point, right? Do you ever read the reviews people post? I do. I want to know what other’s thought about the product.

I was searching for cell phone cases yesterday. Mine is cute, but the color is coming off where I hold the phone. There are so many cute cell phone cases, but not so many for my particular phone. I was a little disappointed while shopping.

However I did find five or six on Amazon. While shopping though I made sure to read the review of the cases. There was one that was only $1.36!! Really, sounds really cheap! BUT - I read the review and there was one there for five stars!

So I added that one to my cart.

I also picked out another for $5.94, it comes with a bag and LCD screen protector.

Did you know that companies can help their online reputation management? I can do it too as a blogger. There are companies that will check your status and any unfavorable reviews and let you know how to fix it.

I’ve been getting these Twitter messages that say, “Someone is saying horrible things about you.” But it’s just spam.

It’s cool to know that you can check that though.

Adventures in Lalaloopsy Land: The Search for Pillow DVD Review

One of my daughter’s newest favorites are the Lalaloopsy dolls! During Christmas I looked at many of them. They are so cute! I didn’t realize they are on TV too!

We were able to review the newest movies – Adventures in Lalaloopsy Land: The Search for Pillow. The story is about those cute ragdolls as they search for their missing friend Pillow Featherbed and attempt to bring her home before Peanut Big Top reveals an amazing surprise! All their friends are there too – Jewel Sparkles, Bea Spells-a-Lot, Crumbs Sugar Cookie, Spot Splatter Splash, Dot Starlight, Mittens Fluff ‘N’ Stuff and Rosie Bumps ‘N’ Bruises. Also included are five bonus Lalaloopsy mini adventures plus a Lalaloopsy Sing-A-Long. The suggested retail price of $16.98.

Peanut Big Top has a really big surprise to share with all her Lalaloopsy friends, but Pillow Featherbed has gone missing. So, the Lalaloopsy girls set out on an adventure to find their missing friend using creativity and all their special talents, but nothing seems to work. Will they be able to find her in time? After trying almost everything, the girls realize that only by working together will they be able to find their lost friend. This magical adventure is full of fun and friendship and it’s just sew cute!

Savannah turned it on and watched it three times in row!

Lalaloopsy Dolls were introduced in the fall of 2010 by MGA Entertainment, They have quickly become one of the fastest-growing and successful girl toy brands. I remember for Christmas all the girls in Savannah’s class had to have a Lalaloopsy doll! I have a feeling this year Lalaloopsy will be on the top of the Christmas list!

Happy Mother’s Day – in St. Augusutine

We had an early Mother’s Day last weekend. My mother in law was in town, so we took both her and my mother out to breakfast and then a tour of St. Augustine. It was a great day!

My Dreams Came True!

Once upon a time there was a women who married a man with three little boys. She raised those boys with her husband, but always dreamed of having her own little children. With all the boys in the house she dreamed of a little girl.

The day came when she was going to have a baby of her own and after a very brief moment of disappointment, found out she would be having a little boy. The sweetest little boy she could ever have was born. She couldn’t have had a better little boy. He was kind, gentle, just adorable!

Years went by, but the woman still longed for a little girl. Plans were made. Research was done. Finally another baby on the way!

Prayers were said. Hopes were high! Finally the day came to find out - a baby girl would be had!

The woman’s dreams to have her own children, a boy and a girl, finally came true!

Yes, that’s my story…. silly and cute. But very true! The day my children were born was like a visit from my own Fairy Godmother, or was it the Fairy Hobmother? lol
