I received an email asking if I would be interested in reviewing a new marriage book. I responded with, “We could all use some help with that.” Right?
I thought it would be some type of self help book, that I would kinda glance through and give my opinion.
I did not expect it to be funny, hard to put down, informative, entertaining, knowledgeable and so full of good ideas and information.
I started to read Project: Happily Ever After and couldn’t put it down.
Alisa Bowman is a wife, mother, writer who is ready for a divorce. She also plans her husbands funeral. Has the eulogy already planned out. Not a good start for a marriage book right? Wrong. It’s not just a marriage book, it’s a story about her married life with tips and hints along the way.
Alisa’s book is breathtakingly honest. She tells of how her husband was “not there” for her when she gave birth to their daughter and how she had moments where she wanted to shake her baby. She didn’t. But she puts it out there, we all have moments. She even talks candidly about sex. I felt like she was telling my life in the way I’ve felt and sometimes still do. I really need to practice what I’ve read. I will, I promise.
I LOVED this book. I kept wanting to read more and can’t wait to see if Alisa will another book. I also signed up for her blog which sends me emails with funny and wonderful words to read everyday!
I would recommend this book to everyone who is in a relationship. It’s real, it’s funny, it’s a must read.

I would love to win this. My husband and I have been married for 3 years and have a 4.5 year old and a 2 year old. For the most part we have an amazing marriage. He is great with the kids and does so many things every day to show me he loves me and our kids. But lately we have been hitting some rough patches and I would love to work through them before things get carried away

I would love to win because we can all use good advice.
I would love to win this book. After 12 1/2 years of marriage, we've hit a rough and rocky patch. I know it could be so much better and I'm committed to try. Definitely could use some advice to get there.
I would love to win this for a billion diff. reasons. We haven't gotten married yet for the fact that we are worried things will change and we're happy now, so lets not take the chance. We do plan on it, when money allows though!
I'd love to win this… We've been married for 5 years and know we still have a lot of things we could use advice on!
