Uncle Bens Brown Rice Review

I love rice! I’m so happy my kids do too, because my husband does not. So I still get to make it since majority rules. haha. I had the opportunity to review Uncle Ben’s Brown Rice and I was so excited! I’ve always done the rice that’s done in five minutes. It’s quick and okay. I prefer Uncle Ben’s White Rice, but recently switched to store brand regular rice. I would love for us all to eat healthier though, so I thought this would be a great start!

I was able to try the Natural Whole Grain Brown Rice, that cooks in 40 minutes, the Fast & Natural Instant Brown Rice and the Boil-In-Bag Whole Grain Brown Rice, both ready in 10 minutes. I started off trying the Boil in bag style. I did make the regular white rice too, just in case ( for the kids). For dinner I actually mixed the two together so they wouldn’t freak out. Both kids and myself ate all of it. Next I tried the 40 minute rice. However, this time I did not mix it with the white rice. Again, we all enjoyed it. I am happy to say we are now converted to brown rice!

When you go Uncle Ben’s Website http://www.unclebens.com/ you will find many recipes. You can do an advance search and put in what type of meats and which rice. Wow – there are so many to choice from. The Chicken & Brown Rice Sloppy Joes sound good!

You can also get a coupon for $1.00 off any two of Uncle Ben’s Rice Products.

“I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Uncle Ben’s and received samples to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central will send me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.” This did not affect my opinion of the above mentioned product – we love rice!
