Green Living Tip – Recycled Pillows?

My tip this week is really a question. I have several pillows that are kinda flat. How can I recycle them or re use them?

I was thinkg of cutting the longer ones in half and making throw pillows for my patio to go with my new green cushions.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

I stuff two flat pillows into one pillow case to make a fluffier pillow lol!

What are they filled with? I tend to throw ours in the washer with the sheets and wash them—-well, just hubby's pillow. It's made out of the polyfill, I think, and I air-dry it on an IKEA dryer rack. It's clean and fluffed out.
You could do the idea of what you were thinking about do, by repurposing them in throw pillows for your patio!

  4. You could also slit the end, add more stuffing and make them fluffier. 🙂 Maybe not professional grade, but it's cheaper!

I have 2 ideas: 1) Make a wall hanging quilt, and use the inside of the pillows to stuff it – pop it off the wall. 2) Make a rug, stuff it with the inside of your pillow's.
