Why Not Join the Boys Scouts?

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Boy Scouts of America for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

A couple time a year, my son, Hunter asks to join the Boy Scouts of America. We even went to the meeting about joining. The meeting was held in the cafeteria of my son’s school. I guess it was about two years ago. The meeting was very positive and my son really wanted to join. However at the time he was very involved in baseball and we did not feel like he or us could do both. So we had to decline him joining.

One thing that did not sit well with me was the fact that instead of fundraising the scouts were able to just pay and not do the work. Maybe it was just this particular pack, I’m not sure.

It’s that back to school time again and also time to sign up for Boy Scouts. With all the newness of a new year of school, new teachers, new classmates, Scouting can help balance all of that out.

The scouts also promote healthy living. I really wish Hunter could handle Scouting and sports. Right now he’s involved in karate.

Maybe I can sign him up. We’ll see. His older brothers were scouts and it was a positive experience.
