Fast & Furious 6 came out in theaters on May 24th. My husband has been talking about it for a while because “The Rock”, Dwayne Johnson is playing in it. He has been in like 5 films recently. Anyway this would not have been my first choice of films, but I knew he would like it. We received sneak peek passes and went to see it last Tuesday night.
I was pleasantly surprised and I really liked the film. You don’t have to have seen the last 5 films to get what’s going on. I saw the first one years ago and half of another. The movie had some humor it and made us laugh. Of course lots of action and several girls in bikinis. Would I recommend this movie? Yes. I had a great time and really enjoyed all the action!!
Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of all-stars as the global blockbuster franchise built on speed races to its next continent in Fast & Furious 6. Reuniting for their most high-stakes adventure yet, fan favorites Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and Elsa Pataky are joined by badass series newcomers Luke Evans and Gina Carano.
Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.
Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.
Building on the worldwide blockbuster success of Fast Five and taking the action, stunts and narrative to even greater heights, Fast & Furious 6 sees director Justin Lin back behind the camera for the fourth time. He is supported by longtime producers Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel, who welcome producer Clayton Townsend back to the series.
FAST & FURIOUS 6 has been rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action and mayhem throughout, some sexuality and language. I would let my 12 year old see this for sure.

This looks like a great action packed movie that would be great to see in the theater. I’m glad to hear you don’t need to see all of the movies to understand this one. I, like you, saw the first one and part of another. I enjoyed them and think this one looks really good. It’s on my list to see this summer.

This is on my must see list I love Vin Diesel and The Rock. I skipped the screening because it was on a weekday but I plan on going to the movies to see it soon.

My friends and I rented the first one years ago because Rammstein made a cameo and we’re fans of the band, lol. It looks like they’ve really upped the ante on the special effects!

I’m excited to see this when it comes out on DVD. I’d love to watch it in the theater but I’m too stingy to pay the prices. I watched the previous five Fast and Furious movies. Most were good, a couple were not. Hoping this one is. From your review, sounds like it is.
