I told you last month how I was looking for an alternate mobile phone plan. (See that post here)Right now we pay almost $200 for 1 smart phone and data and 2 phones with no data. My phone asks me everyday for data and a smart phone. I’d love to give it to him but that would be an extra $30 a month!!
I went ahead ad purchased the Concord phone from Walmart and signed up for the Walmart Family Mobile plan. I like the Concord phone. My daughter likes it even more.
She has acquired this phone and deemed it hers! But we use as a house phone. And a tablet. My daughter has downloaded a ton of games and has a great time playing on it. But her favorite thing to do is call her brother and tell him it’s time to come home for dinner!!
I am very motivated to be rid of my current plan and make the switch! We could get 3 phones with text, minutes and data for less than $110 a month!! That’s $82 a month savings!!
So….what could I do with $82 extra a month?
Take the family to the movies!
Go bowling!
Go out to dinner!
Go – Go Carting!
There are so many options for that extra $82
A little bit of information about the Walmart Family Mobile plan. I believe it’s the lowest price rate plan around. The Walmart Family Mobile have two plans to choose from – $29.88 for unlimited text and talk or $39.88 for unlimited talk, text and web. Additional lines are $24.88 and $34.88. So for the three of us it would be less than $110 a month! That’s about $82 savings! Plus there is no contract to lock you in. You can mix and match for plans if one line does not want web.
I am so happy that I was able to participate in this #cbias campaign for #FamilyMobileSaves. Now I know what I will be doing when my contract ends. Or maybe I won’t wait. I wonder how much the cancelation fees are and how they compare to the savings.

We are contemplating buying our phones out of pocket (iphones) and switching to Walmart family mobile. I figured it would save us $1000 over the next 2 years which would be so nice! Good to know it’s a great service.
Wow..that’s so much savings! Even if you buy the phone for cash, still seems like you come out winning.

$30 per month is a great deal! There are so many things I could spend an extra $82 on, like all the fundraisers the school sends home.
What a deal. We need to do something about our monthly bill. Sigh.

Hmmmmm — we have always been Verizon customers. I need to show this to my husband and see if he thinks it would be better for us.
Cost has been the factor that has held me back from getting a smart phone. I love this plan and this price.
At those prices kids can get cell phones.

I didn’t even know Walmart had a wireless plan, but I never shop there. I don’t even think there is a Walmart close to me.

I looked into my cancellation fees and I would still save money at the end of the day paying the fee and making the switch! Crazy!! I am ready for a phone bill that doesn’t come with a 2 year contract! #client
