Medicine and Dentistry

Medicine and related fields are always going to have lots of roles that require skilled workers. Some skills might be more in demand than others but many roles experience shortages because of high demand and lack of supply. Some specialist roles can come with excellent salaries, although many careers in medicine can be demanding too. One of the popular options for moms is to get a diploma for dental assistants. Dental assistants are usually in demand and entrance into the career is relatively easy. Salaries are typically decent too, so you can benefit from both job stability and good pay.

There’s a huge range of careers in medicine and related fields at different levels. You don’t have to be a surgeon or even a nurse to work in medicine. Then there are just as many options behind the scenes, including lab workers, administrative roles, and support staff. Some jobs are obviously easier to get into than others, depending on what qualifications you need.

Other jobs working with animals can sometimes be plentiful too, ranging from dog daycare workers to animal trainers.

Engineering

If you’re willing to consider a career that would require you to go back to school, engineering is definitely a good field to consider. Engineers are skilled and knowledgeable, which is why they tend to be in demand. There are different types of engineering too, so you can find a field that works for you and that offers the best job prospects. While some types of engineering jobs might involve traveling around, parents can look for roles that will keep them closer to home. You might imagine engineers as being out and about and working onsite a lot. However, many of them mostly work from an office.
