School’s been in session for what 2 months now? I’ve gotten a ton of papers asking for money for this and that. Our schools just don’t have enough to go around. It’s sad. Too many budgets cuts.
I always try to give what I can. I like to volunteer too. I don’t get too as often as I’d like though. Sometimes I get a packet of papers to cut out or send in stickers and just this week, yarn for a scarecrow. Our school is lucky, we have many parents who able to volunteer. Many of them have been volunteering for years.
Parents volunteering definitely helps with all the budget cuts an lack of extra money. However I’m not super fond of all the requests for money. I just don’t have alot to give, but wouldn’t it be nice if our school won a huge chunk of money?
Bing is currently running the “Our School Needs” contest to help schools financially. Bing is giving away $1 Million dollars to help schools in need. All you have to do is enter. You can do that by entering an essay, a video or photos and explaining what your school needs. If your school wins they could get $100,000! It’s that easy.
