Tired of toys and more toys for Christmas? What about books? I love giving books for my children. In fact I just bought 2 for Hunter.
I know finding books age appropriate can be hard sometimes. I found a great website, Little One Books that put each of their books into age appropriate sections. Little One Books specialize in quality books, music, and video, for children birth through age five. The staff has personally reviewed and selected each and every item in their store. They also have a “Why We Choose” section where you’ll find find detailed information on why they prefer a particular product.
I was able to pick a book of my choice. I picked 26 Letters and 99 Cents, by Tana Hoban. It’s actually two books in one! One half has the alphabet with pictures and then you flip the book around and you can count up to 99 cents. I only did up to ten with Savannah, it’s gets too confusing right now. But this is great – the book will grow with her.
The book has bright pictures using the primary colors and has lots of familiar and fun objects. The large letters and numbers also develop early writing skills, since the book encourages your child to run their fingers over the letters and numbers. They will love the largeness of the book and will enjoy interacting with it. I know Savannah loves it already!
Little One Books would like to give one Mommy Has to Work Reader a $25.00 Gift certificate to their online store!
I will be having the giveaway starting December 1-5 in a great Blog Hop.
