* Check the fluids in your car. My hubby always checks the oil and brake fluids. Your car won’t go far without the proper fluids.
* Make sure you know where you’re going. We always Google our destination and print out the directions. We can also use our phone to help us.
* Make sure your phone is charged up and bring your charger. You never know when you might need it. Pay phones are few and far between now a days.
* Always tell someone where you are going. Someone needs to know where are going. It may sound silly, but it’s good to be prepared.
* DO NOT TEXT and DRIVE. This should not even have to be said. It’s so dangerous!!
* Vacations are about having fun, right? Please do not drink and drive. Another given, but it doesn’t hurt to repeat it.
* If your trip is a long one and you get tired, pull over and get a motel or park the car at a guarded rest stop for a few hours. Don’t drive sleepy.
* Forget do-it-yourself repair kits. The resin could easily shrink or yellow, lowering the quality of the repair. Safelite AutoGlass uses a patented repair process… A vacuum is created over the damaged area and the resin penetrates and fills the finest micro-cracks. The technician pulls off the vacuum changer and the UV light hardens the resin. Safelite’s resin is proven to be the strongest and longest lasting on the market.
* Scheduling a windshield chip repair is easy! Companies like Safelite AutoGlass provide mobile service – wherever your car is – often within 24 hours of your initial call.
* An added benefit is that by offering repairs as an alternative to replacement, Safelite AutoGlass saves approximately 35,000 tons of CO2 during windshield production each year, enough to fill the Empire State Building approximately 19 times. In addition, it saves the number of damaged windshields being sent to the landfill by approximately 12,500 tons annually.

Thanks for reminding everyone about not texting and driving. I've been nearly run of the road several times… even saw a child texting while riding his bike and not looking while peddling across an intersection. No… not a joke!
