My family loves pizza. We have pizza about once or twice a month. Sometimes I will make my own pizza instead of buying. My son, Hunter loves the homemade version best.
I’ve tried frozen pizza in the past and it’s not a favorite! Except for those really cheap ones, my hubby likes those, go figure.
We had the opportunity to try Annie’s Organic Rising Pizza. I made it yesterday as an after school snack for my son and the rest of us.
I’ve only ever tried Annie’s Crackers before, so I was looking forward to trying this with the family. When I first got the email to try the pizza, I was excited to maybe find a frozen pizza everyone likes.
I took an adventure to my Whole Foods store. I say adventure, because we are new to the area. 🙂 Whole Foods is sooo cool! My mother in law loved it!
Okay – on to the pizza! We bought pepperoni, by the way. The pizza’s a re sold for around $9.00.
So…. I turned on my oven and took out the pizza and placed it on the rack as indicated on the box. After about 10 minutes, I checked on the pizza and it was sticking to my racks. I could see the pizza kinda falling through the wire racks. I let it finish cooking. Then I had to scrape it off and had a complete mess! (I must confess, I may have placed the pizza in before the oven was hot enough. That may have been my problem)
I was not very happy about the mess this made and doubled checked I read the instructions right.
I let it cool and took some bites to test the taste. I thought the pizza was wonderful! The flavor was better than any other frozen pizza I’ve ever tasted. I will definitely try this again, however I will use my pizza stone or a cookie sheet this time. My hubby tried it and he liked it too! I even saved some of it to eat tommorrow! It looks bad but tastes great! The sauce, pepperoni and the crust, yumm!
Next time I will get the four cheese pizza and the pepperoni! I know my kids will love it!
What’s so cool about Annie’s Organic Rising Crust Pizza?
It’s certified organic and has a naturally rising crust made with 8g of whole grains. Meats used are organic with no added nitrites or nitrates. The cheese is 100% real cheese.

This sounds delicious! I love Annie’s products.
Oh no, that’s definitely not supposed to happen! Can I get you in touch with our Consumer Relations team? They’re bernie@annies.com — send ’em your blog post so they can see the picture. Did the pizza defrost at all before you put it on the rack? They will probably ask you that.

Yes, I’ll send them the post. No I did not defrost the pizza, but the temp may not have been exact before I placed it in the oven. Would that be a reason?
Wow great honest review, I would like to know if it fell through because of the heat..? I am bad that I always place things in the oven before pre-heating.
