I saw these at the parent meeting at my son’s new middle school. Never saw such a thing!

Well that is weird! I think it could be a great idea though, kids are always losing/forgetting this stuff so why not? Pretty neat!
Actually I really like it – ever run out of something you need? I always hated borrowing stuff from people!
We have 2 pencil vending machines at my son’s elementary school. I agree, it is a little weird. But, they must be used since they are still there.
At my college they have a big machine that looks like a food vending machine, it gives out cd roms, mech. pencils, calculators.. its crazy!
Can’t say I’ve seen one myself.
Wow I’ve never seen these machines before.
I have never seen that. I guess it could be handy… if you have change.
That TOTALLY brings me back- we used to have those in our elementary school library & they had the super cool pencils where they had like 10 different tips inside & when one got too short you’d take it out & move it to the bottom until you’d used them up- I haven’t thought about those in 15 years!!!
I’ve never seen one of these before, but it sounds like a neat idea though.
I think that is pretty cool!
I have never seen that before, but it is a fantastic idea! As long as the kids without pens and pencils carry change, lol!
Seriously? Wow!
What happened to the good old school store?
That is interesting. Our elementary school has a school store that is open once a week.
That’s new, though maybe a good idea.
That’s a first for me, too. Like @Liz, I remember a school store as well. I know my son’s school doesn’t have one… but I think it’s a good idea.
Never seen such a thing, I guess it’s neat!
What a great idea! I was always forgetting things, this would have helped.
That is weird but practical
I’ve never seen anything like those either. They look old school too!
Wow very different!
We used to have those back in grade school. I remember begging my mom to let me get my gear out of those things.
Oh Em Gee that is hilarious!
It’s true! There is a vending machine for EVERYTHING!
I think it’s a great idea! Makes the child responsible for his/her stuff or pull the change out of the pocket if he/she looses or forgets something. Plus it takes the pressure off the teachers to pay for it out of their own pockets to have extras in the classroom.
What a great idea!
I guess this is a great thing to have if you don’t have a school store.
That’s a new one to me. I’d prefer to provide my kids with their supplies, but they could come in handy if a child leaves something at home.
Wow. I remember a store at the school too. Guess this replaces that?!
I need these in my classroom – no joke – my students always froget somethign they need!
Hmm….I’ve never seen that!!
Wow, that’s an awesome idea! No more “I don’t have a pencil” right before a big test!
Oh my goodness, I’ve never seen such!
I have never seen such a thing either.
interesting idea I wonder how much supplys they pack in them during the school year
I’ve never seen these before but I like them. I think they are a little overpriced and instead should be like .05 for a pencil not .25 still.
Never seen those before. I like the idea.
That’s pretty awesome! I feel like I would want to install one in my kitchen. =)
I’ve never seen this! Kind of makes sense.
We have them at our schools! It is a great resource!
I have never seen those – weird! But useful 🙂
I’ve never seen anything like that, but man I could use one like that for pens. I swear I blink and they disappear on me!
Oh man, it’s terrible how budget costs are affecting schools. Remember when they provided paper and pencils for free?!
This is neat. We could use those in our school.
Definitely brings back memories! I haven’t seen these in years but had pencil vending machines when I was in elementary school. It actually got used quite a bit by students.
