Do you remember the movie Up? In the movie the old man tells the boyscout to go snipe hunting and the little boy looks and looks. Looking for Snipe was just a ploy to get the kid to go away!
How about if you really can go snipe hunting?
There is a new game that is great for playing doors in indoors, called Snipe Hunt. It’s a hide and seek game where players try to be the first to find their opponent’s Snipe and return it to its nest. Each team turns their Snipe on and disappears to find the best hiding place for them. In five minutes the Snipes will begin chirping and their eyes will start flashing red so teams must hurry to get back to the nest before the Snipes give away the direction they are hiding.
We received Snipe Hunt to review. I wanted my son to take it outdoors and play with his friends, but he had to test it out at home to make sure it’s a cool game. He’s 11, coolness is important!
We put the batteries in and waited for something to happen. We didn’t wait long enough and thought something was wrong. Later, I asked my husband to try again. He put batteries in and placed the two snipes in secret spots and waited. The kids were upstairs and all the sudden they heard this strange noise. Savannah got excited and started looking for the snipe! The kids found them and then proceeded to play again and again!
This would be a perfect game to play inside during those afternoon thunderstorm we get!
So, will my son take over to a friends house? I think so!!
We received the above game to review. Opinions are always my own.
Oh wow – that looks like so much fun. I do like that your son had to verify the coolness to make sure you weren’t messing with him!! My kids would love this game!!
How fun! I can’t wait to play games like this with my little guy, but I know a lot of kiddos who would love this already. 🙂
Yep coolness is definitely important! My son just turned 10 and would like this!
This is game is pretty cool!
That looks like fun! What a great gift idea!
That looks like so much fun!
Oh how fun!
Oooh this looks like a cool game that my boys would enjoy.
I, too, thought it would be great for playing when afternoon thunderstorms roll in! Looks like fun!
Very cool game! I bet my son would LOVE it! Thanks for sharing!
I think my son would get a kick out of this game. He gets so excited when I get new games to play.
I used to play hide&seek with my toys as a kid- my mom would hide them & I’d have to look for them like with the Snipes, only my toys didn’t make noise so I often couldn’t find them. The problem? My mom usually forgot where she hid them, so my toys would be lost for months. Totally liking the idea behind the Snipes!
Sounds like fun. My 19-month old might not be up for hunting but she would love when it starts chirping.
Never seen Up, but the snipe “hunting” prank is a tradition here in the South. So funny that they made a game of it!
Definitely a great game for my son.. Thanks for sharing such a great review. Love the pictures too!
aw how fun! I’m sure my girls would love this game.
Well she looks like she is having a great time!!
I loooove the movie UP and this game looks like tons of fun!
Looks like a fun game!
We have this game and my boys love it!
Looks like a fun game and it brings back some memories….When I started boy scouts I was taken on a ‘snipe hunt’ on our first outing into the woods. This is where the experienced scouts “see” a snipe and excitedly call you over to check it out. Unfortunately, by the time you get there, the snipe has conveniently run away. After repeating this a few times you realize that it’s all a joke. 😀
Looks like fun!
What a great way to get kids up off the couch and active!
My husband has memories of camping at the lake as a kid, where his dad will tell him he’d give him $100 if he caught a Snipe!
Sounds like a fun game!
We enjoy new games in fact we have two to try out right now.
This looks so fun!
What a cute game!
What a fun sounding game. I used to hunt snipes when I was little LOL
This does look like a fun game for rainy days!
Anne,
