I was able to see the Avengers in the theaters in 3D. It was awesome!! When I saw it would be out on DVD soon, I couldn’t wait to see it again!! We planned on renting it for my son’s birthday sleepover coming up and of course I would watch it again too!
But…I got accepted in the Avengers Blu-Ray/DVD/Graphic Novel #MarvelAvengersWMT through Social Fabric.
So my daughter, Savannah and I went off to shop at Walmart. Check out our shopping trip on Google +. There is a new Avenger App that you can download onto your phone. Then while shopping through Walmart you can find special trigger points to use with your app and see the photos come to life and you get to answer questions. Like this one.
The video I watched was pretty cool. Unfortunately I was not able to get it to work. But Savannah and I walked all around and found the Avengers Augmented Reality App trigger points in the toys section, the Halloween section, the apparel, electronics and the pizza section.
We found the movie section and was happy to see there were two Avengers Blu-Ray/DVD/Graphic Novel Combo Packs left. (When we went to Walmart the next day, though, they had stocked up) I was happy to get the combo pack with the Graphic Novel, so I could send my nephew the novel. He is an Avenger nut!
While we were at Walmart, we did some other grocery shopping and got 2 Walmart Marketside Pizzas for dinner and mini cupcakes for dessert. We have never tried the pizza at Walmart. It was easy to bake and tasted really good. I was surprised, as we haven’t found too many store pizza we enjoy. Savannah was the only one who wouldn’t eat it. She wouldn’t even try it, the little stinker.
We enjoyed our pizza and watched part of the movie before the kids needed to get ready for bed. I love all the action and comedy in the Avengers.

At select Walmart stores on Saturday, September 29, 2012, they will have Avenger Character Appearances. I know lots of little boys that would love that!

I have heard about this Avenger’s app a few times now, and I think it is so cool that they have trigger points throughout the store full of Avenger’s gear and even movie-themed food. Looks like your kids had a great time watching the movie and snacking before bed!
Great movie! Looks like a fun family movie night!! Too bad you couldn’t get the app to work!! We used it in Walmart and it was SO FUN!!! =)
My son cannot wait to go see this movie! It seems Avenger stuff is everywhere! I am usually not into this kind of movie, but even I am getting excited to go see it!

My husband really wants to see this movie so he picked it up at Walmart last week but left it at work =( The app sounds really cool though!
I haven’t had the chance to see this movie yet – but my kids love any superhero movies, so I’m sure we’ll be watching it soon! love the app, too!!

So nice that you are sending your graphic novel to your nephew! I’m glad to have you recommendation on the MarketSide Pizza. We’ve not tried it but I’ve been hearing so many great things about it I will have to put it on our list! Perhaps for our own Avengers movie night 🙂
