GroupGel – Gel Your Groups!

Are you member of the PTO? Are you the soccer mom or room mom? How about a church group, charity or campaign group? GroupGel can help  “gel” your group!

GroupGel is a free on-line app where you can add all the members of a group and keep all your activities in check. You can even add all your neighbors and make a community group. The neighborhood I live in does this already and it’s a great tool to meet new neighbors, plan a block party. You can even place items to sell or buy on there. We had a Halloween Party and this helped us organize it and see what people were bringing to the party.

GroupGel was founded by John Marshall, a group groupie, event coordinator, committee chair, and volunteer extraordinaire. He served on numerous groups and wanted to make it easier for groups to stay in touch.

So…how do you get started? It’s super easy and did I say Free?? First choose your group and mail out invites to all the members.

You can send messages to all members or select members. When you post a topic, you can post it for everyone to see, email it or even text it, depending on the urgency of the message. I like this feature.

(Here is a screenshot of my group. I created one for my daughter’s class.)

Scheduling  an event is easy too. When members receive your event invite, it’s a simple click for them to respond. Collect and track RSVPs. Send reminders based on RSVP status.

You can create surveys and interest forms. This can help plan future functions.

Create sign up and ask for volunteers or donations. All information is kept in one simple place for all to see.

I signed up and created my account. It was a very easy set up. I would recommend giving it a try! Just go to GroupGel and click on the big, orange “Get Started” button. Make sure to check out the tour.

This post is sponsored by GroupGel. I really like the idea! opinions are my own.

I'm a mother of 2 who likes to get involved in too much! Besides writing here I started a non-profit, I'm on the PTO board, very active in my community and volunteer in the school. I enjoy music, reading, cooking, traveling and spending time with my family. We just adopted our 3rd cat and love them all!
