This book couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve had a rough month here on the home front and my worry, anxiety and stress has skyrocketed!!
I’ve always been a worrier and recently ( the last few years) have had a huge fear of bridges and heights. I have this big fear of dying and of my children dying. This is coming from losing my stepson 9 years ago and two of my sibling passing. I know this is a bit personal, but we all have issues and I’m working on mine…
Fear, Faith and a Fistful of Chocolate is a great little book full of great advice. Debora Coty talks about fear, worry and anxiety. Right up my ally!
People have many fears and anxiety and they all stem from something different. Debora gives true life stories and ways to handle the stressors in your life. She give anti-worrywart tools, such as setting aside time each day to worry and be done with it.
Blessed is the person who is too busy to worry in the daytime and too sleepy to worry at night.
This is one of those books you can pick up at anytime and read. I would recommend this book for any worrier.
Are you ready to strip fear’s power over you and become the confident woman you were meant to be? Have you found that tolerating your personal fear monsters only makes them growl louder?
Okay, sister – take my hand and let’s boldly step up and yank the masks off those shadow-lurking, anxiety-churning, worry-generating beasts.
With her own brand of off-beat wit and wisdom, inspirational humorist Debora Coty addresses heart needs of women worn down by everyday fears – financial, health, relationships, loss, pain, the unknown, the what ifs …
With fresh spiritual insight, Debora shares hope, true life stories, scriptural lifelines, and a few LOL’s along with simple, practical tips for sidestepping fear with faith. And a fistful of chocolate!

Debora Coty is an occupational therapist, a piano teacher, and a freelance writer. She’s also involved in the children’s ministry at her church and is an avid tennis player. Debora began writing to fill the void when her last child left for college, and it has since become a passion. Debora has a real knack for getting across sound biblical concepts with a refreshing lightheartedness as attested in her monthly newspaper column entitled “Grace Notes: God’s Grace for Everyday Living.”

My parents would tell me that it was a sin to worry. It’s hard for me to shake the negative feeling and then I feel worse because I think my faith is small. Thanks for your review.

Great book review and definitely will check it out.
Sounds like a really good book. I worry about things, but it’s the stress that really gets to me. I can imagine how hard of a time you’d have worrying after having lost so many important people. Big hugs!
I don’t worry, unless there is something to really be worried about. Maybe I don’t worry enough…who knows.
I often think about getting older each day and how are lives are so short. This sounds like an interesting read.
