Father’s Day has come and gone but that doesn’t mean you can’t create your man a “Man Cave”. Although if hubby gets a man cave then I think I should get a mom cave, right?
My husband has always wanted a pool table and in our new home we have an upstairs bonus room. I thought of all kinds of ideas for that room but only after 3 months of living here, he found a pool table to buy. So now we have a pool table up there and the start of a man cave. We need to add some character to the area too, so I have been thinking about getting a personalized sign with neon lights, in a logo to combine our family monogram. There are several templates available, but we will probably go with a fully custom option uploading our logo instead.
I started hanging all of his firefighter posters up there and displaying his firefighter memorable there as well. Then added his pool trophies.
But there is so much more we could do up there, like adding a dart board. Although I’m afraid there would be holes in the wall from missed darts.
Or how about some other games, although they can’t take up much room as the pool table has taken up most of the room. There are these bean bag games called cornhole boards and come in Baseball and Football versions. I had never heard of such a thing, but they do look fun!
Great ideas! I am sure my hubs would like a dart board in his cave.
My hubby would love one…just need a bigger house!
I’d be worried about the holes in the wall from the darts too, lol! The pool table looks like fun, even though I’m not great at pool.
my husband keeps talking about having cornhole. we’ll have to get it
I think it’s good for each of us to have a place to escape to.
A mancave just isn’t complete without a pool table!
My husband and son would enjoy a mancave but I don’t see it happening soon.
My Hubs man cave would include a TV to watch the news and books!!
I love that site and I know my fiance’ would love it for sure!
We had a mancave at our last house, hubby wants to build one downstairs . Darts, pool, bar and a flat screen!
My husband would love the dart board!
They have a really cool website! My husband told me that he wants one of their neon lights.
I wish we had space for a man cave. Someday… but only if, as you suggested, we have room for a mom cave. Of course, since I am the only female in the house (hubby and 2 sons), maybe I could banish them all to the man cave and make the entire rest of the house into the mom cave… hmmmm
My husband has been wanting one for years but we don’t have the room for all of the things he want.
You’re probably right about the darts. You might wanna skip that!
Fun! My husband doesn’t have a man cave but he’d probably want one. We’re about to turn our office into a nursery though so we’d need a new house for that!
How fun.. my husband has been asking for his own man cave, this would be great. Thanks for sharing….
oh my hubby would love to have his own man cave!
My hubby would LOVE to have his own man cave. Maybe once one of the kids move out and give up their room.
I would happily help my husband create a man cave if we had the extra space, but these days he has really been pushing for a motorcycle.
hubby wants a pool table – love darts!
Yeah, you should probably skip the darts. 🙂
My ex had half the basement as his man cave… now I use some of it for storage, and part for woodworking/painting projects.
Why do all men want man caves? Yours is a great start.
I could use a cave myself!
My husband is just putting the finishing touches on his man cave. Love these ideas.
I don’t know if my husband would go for a “Man Cave” or not … I think our kids would just take it over, lol.
I wish we could have a man cave, then all sports viewing could take place there.
My hubby would love to have a man cave.
