There is nothing more important than finding the time to spend with the family, everyday life can be chaotic and demanding and time dedicated to families is often neglected, this is why it is so important to make the most of the time that can be shared and enjoyed as a family. The other issue that many families face is what to do, things such as the age of children, travelling needs and money limitations are all factors that mean it can be difficult to find the perfect activity. Some of the old favourites are ideal for having a pleasurable time with the family and places such as Wisconsin dells waterparks will always be a firm favourite for both children and adults. There are is a long list of activities that can bring a family together whilst allowing them to enjoy their time together and provide the opportunity to take time out from everyday life.
Amusement Parks
There are plenty of amusement parks that can cater for children of all ages, they are one of the best-loved activities and the lure of the rides and amusements make it a fun filled day.
Bowling
This has been a greatly loved activity for many years, it can be a better activity for slightly older children but there are usually games, amusements and even a crèche at the bowling alley, which will keep the younger ones, entertained if necessary.
Family Scavenger Hunt
With any activity the most important thing to remember is that everything should be done together, as a family. A scavenger hunt will allow you to work in one team or in separate groups for the same cause and will encourage fun and an understanding of teamwork.
Camping
This can be one of the best experiences of a child’s life, the combination of nature, the freedom of the outdoors and the close quarters the family are in means it is the perfect break. It can also be the ideal excuse to have a mini break all together.
Picnic
A picnic doesn’t have to be an expensive activity, a small hamper, a blanket and a nice setting that will allow for outdoor games to be played and the outdoors to be enjoyed.
Movie Night
Slightly older children will love the idea of watching some of their favourite films, especially animated productions, and surrounded by sweet and popcorn and with their parents either side of them. It is a cheap alternative to the Cinema.
Arts and Crafts
Starting a project together can be the ideal activity that will on going over a period of days and / or weeks. To really keep children entertained, make something for them or their bedrooms so they appreciate that they are working towards something they can use afterwards.
Parks and Estates
This is by far the most cost effective activity you can do as a family, walking and sight seeing gives the chance to talk and bond whilst ensuring your children learn about the areas which surrounds them. They are also escaping technology and enjoying the great outdoors.
Cooking
This is the ideal time to have some one on one time with your children, it is fun and messy and relaxed and kids will love the results of the hard work. Children love to make a mess and this is the ideal time to let them do so, they also have the chance to understand team work and the importance of following instructions.
Holiday Parks
Another excuse for a break away with the family, children love holiday parks, everything within them is aimed at children regardless of their age and there is a source of entertainment everywhere you turn and there are often areas for adults too.
