Listerine Challenge Completed!! #Listerine

listerine_product_heroBanner_top

My kids and I took the 21 day Listerine Challenge and it was awesome!! We all received new toothbrushes, floss and mouthwash. The kids loved their Barbie and Phinas and Ferb Smart Rinse. They have been a regular user of this for a while now. The Smart Rinse is a fluoride rinse that strengthens teeth 99% better than brushing alone.

We brush only in the morning and brush, floss and rinse at night. I wanted to start out slow and make it fun. My daughter and I do it together, so she can see that I take care of my teeth too! The big test will be next month at my next cleaning. I can’t wait to hear how well my teeth and gums look!

I love how easily the habits have formed and hope my children carry this through the rest of their years.

My favorite product? The Reach Access Flosser. I always use those little flosser toothpicks. But this is a larger version and you can really reach the back teeth so much better!! You just refill the flosser as needed.

It’s not too late for you to take the challenge as well!! Sign up on the Listerine Facebook page, www.facebook.com/listerine.

Fear, Faith, and a Fistful of Chocolate

FearFaithChocolate

This book couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve had a rough month here on the home front and my worry, anxiety and stress has skyrocketed!!
I’ve always been a worrier and recently ( the last few years) have had a huge fear of bridges and heights. I have this big fear of dying and of my children dying. This is coming from losing my stepson 9 years ago and two of my sibling passing. I know this is a bit personal, but we all have issues and I’m working on mine…
Fear, Faith and a Fistful of Chocolate is a great little book full of great advice. Debora Coty talks about fear, worry and anxiety. Right up my ally!
People have many fears and anxiety and they all stem from something different. Debora gives true life stories and ways to handle the stressors in your life. She give anti-worrywart tools, such as setting aside time each day to worry and be done with it.
Blessed is the person who is too busy to worry in the daytime and too sleepy to worry at night.
This is one of those books you can pick up at anytime and read. I would recommend this book for any worrier.
Are you ready to strip fear’s power over you and become the confident woman you were meant to be? Have you found that tolerating your personal fear monsters only makes them growl louder?
Okay, sister – take my hand and let’s boldly step up and yank the masks off those shadow-lurking, anxiety-churning, worry-generating beasts.
With her own brand of off-beat wit and wisdom, inspirational humorist Debora Coty addresses heart needs of women worn down by everyday fears – financial, health, relationships, loss, pain, the unknown, the what ifs …
With fresh spiritual insight, Debora shares hope, true life stories, scriptural lifelines, and a few LOL’s along with simple, practical tips for sidestepping fear with faith. And a fistful of chocolate!

Olay Total Effects

011

Wearing make up in Florida during the hot months can be a pain. I’ve always been a tinted moisturizer gal and love the slight coverage with the extra moisturizer. Don’t forget your SPF too! Very important!!

I’ve ventured out of my norm this month to try some new tinted moisturizer and some of the new BB Creams.

How about one that can help fight aging too! Olay CC Cream – Total Effects Tone Correcting Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15, fights fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone, age spots, and dryness. At the same time, it also works to improve surface cell turnover with gentle exfoliation, strengthen skin’s natural defense against moisture loss, and recapture youthful luminosity.

Total Effects fights the 7 signs of aging:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles: reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Uneven Tone: balances and helps even out tone
  • Age Spots: reduces appearance of discoloration
  • Gentle Exfoliation: Improves surface cell turnover
  • Dryness: provides nourishing moisturization
  • Moisture Barrier: strengthens skin’s natural defense against moisture loss
  • Luminosity: recaptures youthful luminosity

So what did I think? The Olay Total Effects had more moisturizer than I’m used to and it did not cover as well as I would like for day to day. I do think this would be great to wear to the pool or beach though. Being outside in the sun we need all the extra moisture and protection we can get.

My after picture. You can see its a little glowy. ( Is that a word?)

Stay up to date on Facebook and Twitter .
