What a Wonderful Mother’s Day!

I had a wonderful Mother’s Day! I hope all of you mothers did as well. I received these lovely flowers, above, at work on Friday. All of the cards I received this morning.

Then I went shopping! I went to Old Navy and got 2 pair of shorts and a cute top. The flip flops were free with the purchase of two shorts – bonus! Then off to Bealls for some awesome comfortable shoes! I was in desperate need of some cute sandals and was so happy to finally find some. Just so you know, I got rid of 3 sandals that were falling apart and put aside 4 others for the next yard sale.

Oh and I’m taking the worn out sandals to a drop off that will recycle the shoes into rubber mulch.

Then off to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Aleyda’s Mexican restaurant. I got a $30.00 GC for $15 through Charitydine.com! The food was great and no one fought, so it was a good time!

National Mom’s Nite Out #ChevyMNO

Soon – I will be on my way to Ft. Lauderdale to celebrate National Mom’s Nite Out!

First stop- meet up at Maroone Chevrolet of Ft. Lauderdale. Each of the moms will get a chance to test drive a cool Chevy car.

Then it is off to the Contour Day Spa in Plantation where we will get our hair done and some make up for our “nite” out on the town. I really want a pedicure! Do you think I can trade?

Next – we’ll be going to Carrabbas Italian Grill in Boca for some great food and conversation!

Next – we are heading over to the Simon Mall’s Town Center of Boca Raton for their “Dancing With the Moms” National Mom’s Nite Out event.

Finally back to Maroone Chevrolet to return the cars and pick up some SWAG bags!

I’m so excited and can’t wait to meet some other mom bloggers and moms in the area! Thank you to my hubby for watching the kids!! Love you!

Race for the Cure Update

I intended to run for the Race for the Cure on Saturday,but it was COLD. Not as cold as some of you have it, bit too cold for me to run. I’m a little wimpy and my ears get cold, so anyway I walked it.

My partner backed out on me and I was tempted to just not go and sleep in, but I did it anyway. It was cool to see so many people involved.

It was a gorgeous day too!

Happy Birthday Savannah!

We had Savannah’s 3rd Birthday Party yesterday, but today is her birthday. See how shy she was when we sang Happy Birthday.

Big brother had to help blow out the candle.

She had lots of fun playing at the park and with her friends though. I can’t believe she three already!

Happy Blogiversary!

On May 22, 2010 it will be my one year anniversary on Mommy Has to Work! I can’t believe it’s been a year. It’s been an adventure, that’s for sure. I’ve met some wonderful women and had some awesome opportunities come my way. The chance to go to Disney World for the Social Media Moms Celebration was so cool! My family and I had a blast, even though it was a bit too cold. I even started to make a little extra money through ads and posts. Very little, but still. And the products. It’s so cool be be able to review products and report on them.
