Everyone wants to make sure their family vacation is amazing, but that can often be tricky to do. You’ll have quite a few things to plan out and prepare for, which can often make everything a bit stressful. By knowing how to have the best family vacation, you can make this much easier.

All this could need is a few practical tips, each of which should have a massive impact on the planning process. Three family vacation tips stand out for this, as they’ll make sure you’re prepared and that everything goes smoothly.

Have The Best Family Vacation Possible: 3 Practical Tips

1. Be Prepared For Crowds

Crowds can often be an unfortunate part of a vacation, especially during certain times of the year. Even if you book for less busy times of the year, there could still be quite a few people. While you can minimize this by using a Disney World tracker and similar tools, you won’t be able to avoid all of the crowds and queues.

That could mean needing to book things early, especially when it comes to any activities that need tickets. Avoid disappointment by pre-booking as much as you can.

2. Share Responsibilities

Planning a family vacation should be a family activity, but it’s often left to just one person to  plan everything out. That leads to a lot of stress for whoever’s doing the planning. Get rid of this by sharing the responsibilities with your family. Let the kids figure out where to go, while asking your partner to help book everything.

Not only does this get rid of a lot of stress, but it lets everyone feel much more involved. They’ll appreciate the vacation a lot better while making sure they start getting excited as early as possible. It could even avoid arguments about what’s booked and what you’ll be doing.

3. Maintain Family Traditions

Quite a few people love having routines. They’ll relax more with these and get a certain sense of comfort out of them. If you or anyone in your family crave this, then it’s worth integrating them into your family vacation. With how stressful it can be being somewhere far from home, it can even be recommended.

Your normal family traditions, such as having breakfast at the same time, can all be parts of this. Even reading a book to your kids before bed can be recommended if that’s something you always do. It lets you feel more comfortable when you’re away.

Have The Best Family Vacation Possible: Wrapping Up

If you want to have the best family vacation possible, you’ll naturally put a lot of time and effort into it. It doesn’t need to be a stressful experience, however. By using a few practical family vacation tips, you’ll make sure there isn’t any stress involved.

Sharing responsibilities, being prepared for crowds, and maintaining family traditions will all be part of this. Not only will they get rid of a lot of stress, but they could make the vacation even more enjoyable

Why more families are moving to Florida than ever before

When we think of Florida, it’s not difficult to imagine the sun-drenched sands of Palm Beach, the prestigious Golf and Polo Clubs of the Gulf Coast, the water-front lifestyle of Fort Lauderdale, the glamour of the Miami nightlife and of course the world-famous theme parks at your fingertips throughout Orlando. It’s some of these factors alone that see almost 1,000 people moving to Florida every day. But, aside from the glitz and glamour of the sunshine state, it’s famous oranges and its food scene, NASCAR history and the enchanting Everglades – what else is bringing families from across the country, and even the world, to the state of Florida to live permanently?

More families than ever before are heading to the sunshine state, let’s explore some reasons why, below.

There are numerous regions and areas to choose from

Whether you’re looking for distinct residences in the Boca Raton area, or you’re looking for a community with a more relaxed lifestyle such as Lighthouse Point, Florida has a region to suit any and every lifestyle. As Florida is an incredibly diverse state, with contrasting landscapes, communities, and styles, you’ll have no trouble matching your criteria to your dream home and region. Whether it’s schools and education that’s important to you right now, or you want to live in an area that has leisure and entertainment at its heart, the volume of choice means families and individuals alike are more likely to find their dream home in the Sunshine State.

Florida properties are family-friendly

Did you know that you can get a lot more for your money in Florida? You may be impressed with what your savings can get you here. Properties in the sunshine state are also incredibly spacious, and designed with families and entertainment in mind – what’s more, your dream home could be within walking distance of one of Florida’s glorious beaches or boast its very own swimming pool. Pools are considered mandatory for many residents! So, if you’ve always wanted to teach your children to swim, there’s no better way to learn.

Perpetual Sunshine

Of course, the climate in Florida is perhaps its biggest draw. And the heat isn’t just great for those wanting to top up their tan, health benefits of persistent sunshine and heat can ensure a higher quality of life and an improved mental state. The tropical climate in Florida is occasionally punctured throughout its rainy season, May-October, however, these sudden downpours are short-lived, offering relief before sunshine reigns supreme once again.

And finally, it’s a paradise for growing families

You could be forgiven for thinking that Florida was founded with families in mind, and it’s easy to see why. From its revered education system to its iconic ice cream parlours, Disney World discounts for locals, outdoor pursuits and pro-sports, entertainment everywhere you turn, cultural diversity, water sports that get the whole family in the water, and its friendly, laid back culture make Florida the perfect home for growing families.

Will you be making the move?

Family Trip to Vero Beach, Florida @verobeachcvb

Spring Break is here or will be here shortly depending on where you live. Florida has some wonderful places to visit and spend time in the sun. I recently was asked to visit Vero Beach with my family.

We were asked to stay at The Disney Vero Beach Resort and had a fantastic itinerary set up for us. We were not able to make it down to Vero Beach until Friday evening. We got to the resort and settled in around 9:30pm. The resort staff was very helpful as Disney employees always are. My partner and I hit the lounge after the girls layed down. It was right across the hall from our room!

We woke up early to see the sun rise. It was so pretty to see right over the beach. Then it was off to Goofy’s Beachside Character Breakfast with Donald and Goofy.

We gathered later to head over to the Vero Beach Museum of Art.  The director took us on a tour then took us over to the children’s Art Zone. The Art Zone has many hands-on activities that encourage children to play and explore.  They have a magnetic wall with colorful geometric shapes and a chalkboard wall for the kids to make artistic creations. Another wall is an interactive sketch aquarium, which was my favorite part of this interactive children’s exhibit, lol. The kids were each able to color in a sea creature then it gets scanned into the computer and magically it appeared on the wall!

Every piece of the Art Zone has been designed with kids in mind.  The adults explored the rest of the museum. This was my favorite piece.

We had lunch at  Mulligan’s Beach House. We sat beachside and enjoyed the beautiful weather, the ocean, music and delicious foods.

We then drove over to the McKee Botanical Garden. The McKee Botanical Garden has 18 acres of tropical terrain bursting with activity. I thoroughly enjoyed the gardens. I miss my South Florida landscape, so this gave me a chance to reminisce. The kids had a blast exploring and checking out all the flowers and plants. McKee’s has a new program called, Garden Discovery Backpacks. Each backpack is filled with exploration tools, guides, journal and an activity guide. There is even a small gift for the children to take home.

I would to have all of this in my backyard.

I am looking forward to coming back to explore more. Learn more at www.mckeegarden.org

We hit the pool for a while and relaxed in the sun before dinner.

For dinner we drove over to Waldo’s Restaurant at Driftwood Resort. Oh my the views were amazing! Right on the beach!

After dinner, we headed back to the hotel to relax after a long, fun filled day.

Sunday morning we woke up and headed downstairs to the Disney’s Wind and Waves Grill for breakfast. Then we headed to the pool. The pool had a fun waterslide, jacuzzi, mini golf and a play area. W

It was a fun filled weekend in Vero Beach. I am looking forward to going back. Thank you  VisitIndianRiverCounty.com.
