Disney Digital Music
Both of my children have a love for music. Not surprising since so do my husband and I. My son is constantly asking to download music to his iPod and my daughter takes my phone and listens to music. I really need to get her a MP3 player…
Guess what? Disney now has digital music!! They have gift cards in $15, $25 and custom amounts now available! These would be a wonderful gift! I’ve seen them recently at Target in the check out line. I do have a birthday party coming up, I wonder if the little girl would like this?
We were sent a $15 gift card to try out the service. Upon visiting www.disneymusicstore.com I immediately saw several songs my daughter would love!
Heart Attack by Demi Lovato ($1.29)
Hurricane by Bridget Mendler ($0.69)
Come and Get it by Selena Gomez ($1.29)
Then I started looking for myself…
From Wreck it Ralph: Shut Up and Drive by Rihanna (you need to buy the whole album for this song) which is $7.99
Let it Shine – The whole album, I love all the music from this movie. ($9.99)
and just to annoy my son, from the Muppets – Man or Muppet ($1.29) He is not a fan of that song but the rest of us are!!
They have over 12, 000 tracks to choose from. So you are sure to find something you like! They are easy to download to your computer. They are not able to download directly to a mobile phone, yet. Plus they are iTunes friendly too!
The catalog of music available at the Disney digital music store includes current hit artists (Selena Gomez, Bridgit Mendler, and Demi Lovato), Disney Channel series and original movie soundtracks (Shake It Up, Austin & Ally, Let It Shine), film soundtracks (Brave, The Muppets, TRON: Legacy), inspired-by compilations (Frankenweenie Unleashed!, Muppets: The Green Album, Almost Alice) plus classic soundtracks (Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid), Disney Junior soundtracks (Sofia the First, Jake and the Never Land Pirates), Disney Princess and Fairies compilations, Radio Disney favorites, Spanish language, Songs & Story, and many more.
No other music/entertainment brand offers such a vast array of top quality family-friendly musical entertainment that parents can trust and feel safe about their kids interacting with. Now parents can allow children to browse and purchase music in the Disney digital music store worry-free!

MONSTERS UNIVERSITY in theatres in 3D on June 21, 2013!
Well the time has finally come! Monsters University is now out in theaters! Billy Crystal and John Goodman are back to share how they became friends back in college.
My husband and I were given special passes to go see the movie on Monday. My kids really were not that interested in seeing it. I’m sure that will change when it comes on DVD. It took my daughter forever to like Monsters Inc. We got to see it in 3D which is always special.
We really enjoyed the movie. I especially loved seeing Mike as a youngster. Oh and the frat initiation Mike and Sulley had to go through was hilarious!!
I know my daughter would have been scared of some parts, mostly cause it’s loud and in your face at the movies. She is five. So you will need to gauge your own children. But a great movie for sure!
Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.
Screaming with laughter and oozing with heart, Disney•Pixar’s “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”), produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”) and features music from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and award-winning composer Randy Newman (“Monsters, Inc.,” “Toy Story 3”). The film opens in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2013, and will be shown in 3D in select theaters.

Oz The Great and Powerful is Available on Blu-ray and DVD
Oz the Great and Powerful is such an awesome movie. I loved the vibrant colors and all the animation. I’ve been wanting to get my daughter to watch the original Wizard of Oz, but just never have. Now that she’s watched Oz the Great and Powerful I was ready to play the other one for her. We tried watching it the next night, but honestly, there is no comparison. I feel asleep. The special effects and the animation are so much better.
My daughter’s favorite characters? Theodora, the naïve witch who gets betrayed by her sister Evanora and the China Girl. China Girl is the only one left from China Town. She is so cute and spunky! My twelve year old son and husband really liked the movie too! I mean what’s not to like?
I would definitely recommend seeing this movie! It will be a great adventure for you and your family!!
The Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy) offers much more than just the movie.
You will also get the use the “Second Screen Feature” that provides viewers with an immersive opportunity to journey into the fantastical lands of Oz.
James Franco’s personal story of his journey to the land of Oz that is produced and directed by the Oscar® nominated star himself
Golden Globe® nominee Mila Kunis’ makeup metamorphosis which is hosted by Academy Award®-winning makeup artist Howard Berger
A back-stage journey through each of the visual effects process that brought China Girl to life including an interview with Joey King
And much more!
Here is an interview with Joey King who is the voice for China Girl. We also just saw her on another Disney movie, Ramona and Beezus. Cute movie too!
Who do you play in Oz The Great And Powerful?
I play two characters in the movie. Firstly, I play a little girl in a wheelchair in Kansas. I also play a character named China Girl in the land of Oz. China Girl is a much bigger part.
How would you describe China Girl?
China Girl is a sassy little girl who is made completely from china. She’s a really cute character in the movie.
What do you like about her?
I like her personality and I like how she’s very delicate. China Girl is very strong and determined, which is very different from her outer appearance. She fools people with her delicate porcelain skin because she’
Are you sassy in real life, just like China Girl?
China Girl and I are very similar in a lot of ways. Our personalities are the same and I’m pretty sassy, but China Girl is also a little manipulative. I’m not like that. Oh, but I do pull pranks on my sisters a lot! I guess that’s a little manipulative.
How did you get involved with Oz The Great And Powerful?
At first, I met the director for a screen test. I was up against a few other people for the role, but I really wanted it. I’ll admit it; I was a little nervous when I went into the room to meet him!
How much fun did you have shooting Oz The Great And Powerful?
It was really fun because the studio where we shot the action was amazing. It was a huge building with lots of different, awesome sets. I got to walk along the yellow brick road every day. It was an amazing experience. It was really magical. I’ll never forget it.
What advice would you give to youngsters who want to follow in your footsteps and act?
Keep your dreams alive and never give up. Honestly, you’ve just got to keep going if you want to make it as an actor.
Why is it important to keep your dreams alive?
There’s a lot of disappointment and rejection in this industry. It’s hard, and it’s really difficult to deal with – but you just have to keep going. Never give up because you never know when something is going to come your way.
What would be your dream role?
Well, my ultimate dream is to win an Oscar. Other than that, I’m up for anything. I think a drama would be really cool to do next, but I also love comedies, scary movies, action movies and thrillers. I love everything! I can’t wait to find out what’s next…
I received the above movie to review. All opinions are my own.
Minnie’s Wizard of Dizz Review and Giveaway
My daughter has never seen the original Wizard of Oz. So when were given a copy of Minnie’s Wizard of Dizz to review I was excited to see her reaction.
Minnie and Pluto are swept away by a tornado to the Land of Dizz. Minnie is given sparkling green shoes but the good witch can’t remember what to do with them. So Minnie must find the Wizard of Dizz. But she must watch out for the bad witch Pete. Minnie finds a scarecrow, a tin man and a lion ( Goofy, Mickey and Donald Duck) along the way and they all go on an adventure to find the Wizard.
This was a very cute show and we both enjoyed watching it. We even watched Oz the Great and Powerful and part of the original Wizard of Oz since then.
The DVD has 2 additional episodes: “The Golden House” And “Goofy’s Gone”, plus some bonus features – Ten Minnie Bow Toons.
Here are some fun activity sheets to download….
Would you like to win a copy for yourself? See details below.
