Ellen DeGeneres, the Voice of the Beloved Blue Tang Fish in 2003’s “Finding Nemo,” Shares Plans for the All-New Big-Screen Adventure

Finding Nemo is one of my favorite movies!! I am excited to see a sequel, Finding Dory.

When Dory said “just keep swimming” in 2003’s Oscar®-winning film “Finding Nemo,” she could not have imagined what was in store for her (not that she could remember). Ellen DeGeneres, voice of the friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish, revealed details today about Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory”—an all-new big-screen adventure diving into theaters on Nov. 25, 2015.

“I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time,” said DeGeneres. “I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16.’ But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.”

According to Stanton, “Finding Dory” takes place about a year after the first film, and features returning favorites Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang, among others. Set in part along the California coastline, the story also welcomes a host of new characters, including a few who will prove to be a very important part of Dory’s life.

“Finding Nemo” won the 2003 Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature; the film was nominated for three additional Oscars® (Best Writing, Original Screenplay; Best Music, Original Score; Best Sound Editing). It was also nominated for a Golden Globe® Award for Best Motion Picture–Comedy or Musical. In 2008, the American Film Institute named “Finding Nemo” among the top 10 greatest animated films ever made. At the time of its release, “Finding Nemo” was the highest grossing G-rated movie of all time. It’s currently the fourth highest grossing animated film worldwide. The film has more than 16 million Likes on Facebook, and Dory—with more than 24 million—is the most Liked individual character from a Disney or Disney•Pixar film.

Wreck It Ralph is Now Out on DVD and Blue Ray!

WreckItRalph Box Art

We got to see this movie in the theater, however this is a movie you can see again and again!!

Wreck It Ralph is about Ralph, who plays the bad guy in his popular video game. Just once, Ralph would like to be the good guy. He goes out of his video game in search of a medal that he thinks will make him a good guy in the eyes of the other players in his game. On the way, Ralph helps Vanellope, a young want to be race car driver.

My daughter loves the line when Vanellope says, “Wreck It Ralph is a whoopee cushion!” She now thinks whoopee cushion is a bad word. Lol

I love when Ralph is sitting in Bad Man Meeting, think AA and the one member says, “Ralph, just because you are a bad guy, does not mean you are a bad guy.”

Oz The Great and Powerful – Opens Today – March 8th!!

OZ_TRIPTYCH_DEBUT-1_thumb

I had the opportunity to see Oz the Great and Powerful on Monday. What a cool movie! The graphics were unbelievable and the actors were great! I loved learning the pre-story to the original movie. There were moments where I was like, oh that’s why….

I thought the movie would be too intense for my 5 year old. There were several scenes where I think she would have been frightened. I would say a good age would be 8 or 9 years old. There were many small giggles coming from my cousin and I. It was intense, comical, beautiful and really an enjoyable movie for anyone!

Disney’s fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved wizard character. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great wizard but into a better man as well.

“Oz The Great and Powerful” is produced by Joe Roth, with screen story by Mitchell Kapner and screenplay by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire. Grant Curtis, Palak Patel, Josh Donen and Philip Steuer are serving as executive producers. “Oz The Great and Powerful” opens in U.S. theaters on March 8, 2013.
