Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop

Okay here’s a product I’m so excited to tell you about! The Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop. I have a mop similar ( I won’t name names) that I’ve been using for years. I like it for the most part, except now I switched to using green products. With my previous mop I’m not able to add my own cleaner and you have to use those disposable pads. So when Erin at Rubbermaid asked me if I wanted to try out their new mop I said YES!!

The Reveal Spray Mop comes with 1 reusable microfiber cloth and 1 reusable bottle that you can add your own cleaner to. Whether it’s vinegar and water or your favorite “green” cleaner. The mop is extra big and the cloths are very durable and thick to really clean your floors. The bottles are easy to use and fill and place into the mop. I hate doing any type of cleaning. But love using my new mop!

Save More and Waste Less

* Wash and reuse the durable microfiber cleaning pad up to 100 times.

* With no need for batteries or refills, you’ll save money and time with fewer errands.

* The wide, thick microfiber pad reaches deep into cracks and crevices to pick up 50% more dirt than traditional sponge mops.

* The microfiber pad doesn’t just get floors cleaner; it even helps them dry faster so you can get on with your day

Here are a couple of cleaning solutions you can make yourself.

Cleaning Solution 1
• 2 Tablespoons ammonia
• ½ cup white vinegar
• ½ teaspoon of baby shampoo
• Fill the rest with hot water

Cleaning Solution 2
• 2Tablespoons white vinegar
• 2-3 drops liquid soap
• Fill the rest with hot water

Rubbermaid would like to give one Momy Has to Work reader a Reveal Spray Mop of their very own!

Healthy Odor Control Review/Giveaway

We’ve been real good about recycling lately that sometimes our garbage sits for days without being taken out. That’s good right? Well sometimes it gets stinky before we realize it. I’ll come home from work and say “what’s that smell?” Healthy Odor Control to the rescue!

I was able to review a jar of the gel form. It comes in a spray and a solid form as well. See the picture below. The gel is a real soft and runny with the odor control “juices”. I placed the gel in the kitchen by the sink, and I haven’t smelled the garbage for days! The first day I used it, my husband is like “what’s that smell? I really like it” It was a bit strong the first couple of hours, but then you don’t smell it anymore. It just eliminates all the odors without being an odor itself. I love that! I’m so glad I did not get the spray. I’m not good with sprays, but according to the website, to works the fastest and is great for the bathroom. Maybe I should get some for work!

So what is Healthy Odor Control? It’s an organic biodegradable odor eliminator. It naturally and safely neutralizes odors, it does not mask them. I so do not like the ones that just mask the odor, then you smell the spray and the “odor”!! It’s safe for babies, children, adults, and pets. I’m going to put some the laundry room where the cat litter is next.

So how exactly does the this eliminate odor?

The odor neutralizing agent in the block form consists of:

Propylene glycol
Denatured alcohol
Secret mixture of 32 essential oils (terpenes)
derived from plants and trees

Terpenes are a class of hydrocarbons produced by a wide variety of plants including conifers. Some insects emit them, including swallowtail butterflies. We need these around the compost out side!!

Terpenes have antifungal, antiseptic, and antibacterial characteristics. They increase oxygen levels. They reduce airborne chemicals when released into the air. Over 25 years ago, a scientist noticed that emissions and odors were reduced when terpenes were dispersed into the air. He and his colleagues noticed that the odors were not masked, they were permanently eliminated. Over the years this scientist and others perfected the process and the Pro and other products in the line were created.

This odor neutralizing agent has been specifically blended according to the Pairs Theory and these laws to absorb and thus eliminate noxious emanations and effluviums from the air. The different essential oils bond with noxious air in various ways including electrostatic and reactive affinity.

See the How Product Works section for even more details. It’s cool how it works.

Healthy Odor Control is safe, non-toxic, non flammable and environmentally friendly.

Laura from Healthy Odor Control would like to give one Mommy Has to Work reader a jar in the solid form to try out for yourself!

Simply Green Review and Giveaway

I love finding eco-friendly products to try out and share with you! I’ve officially quit using non earth friendly cleaning products in my home and it feels so good! I’d like to introduce another wonderful line of products. – Simple Green. They’re certainly not new. The company is over 30 years old and was green before it was cool to be so. Simply Green has their original line and the Naturals line.

Simple Green – green on the inside, green on the outside.

Simple Green Naturals are 100% naturally derived, with ingredients originating from nature: chicory, coconut, corn, palm, naturally occurring minerals, salt and sugar, and water. Nothing else.

Naturals are safer, effective products that offer:
• 100% natural ingredient sources • Non-toxic formulations
• Biodegradable formulations • No animal testing
• Full ingredient disclosure
• International scientifically-accepted ingredient names
• Naturals scents are IFRA compliant and made of 100% natural essential oils & plant extracts.
• 100% recyclable PETE plastic bottles with 25%+ post-consumer content, printed with soy inks

One thing I love about their products, it states on the back of the bottle – if swallowed drink lots of fluids – not call poison control or go directly to the ER. I feel safer knowing I’m using these. I received one of everything shown above, plus some of their BBQ and Stainless Steel cleaners from the original Simply Green line.

I’ve used the Carpet Cleaner – very nice. My cat is elderly and pukes daily. This cleans up the messes wonderful!

The Bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner and the multipurpose cleaners work wonderful. I’ve been using them for a couple months now.

The Dilutable Concentrated Cleaner I was just able to use in my new Rubbermaid Resolve cleaner! I was very excited about that (look for that review to be coming up soon).

Simple Green can be purchased online at their store or at your local home improvement stores, such as Lowes and Ace to name a few.

Simple Green would like to give one Mommy Has to Work reader a set of cleaners just like I received.

Eco Touch Waterless Car Wash Review and Giveaway

I’m not a person who obsesses over washing her car. I used to wash it more when it was new. But I’d rather wash it myself than take it to a car wash. I live in South Florida and occasionally we have water restrictions and we are not allowed to wash our cars. So, when I saw on Planet Green that there were waterless car washes out there and I did a little research and found one I’d to share with you all.

Eco Touch was founded by James Dudra and Anne Ruozzi, two environmental entrepreneurs from Portsmouth, NH. While studying in college, in 2003, James Dudra learned that cars in Australia were being cleaned without using water. The company has been featured in media outlets such as National Geographic, Treehugger.com, The New York Times and Body + Soul. Plus their products are distributed in more than 20 countries and online at ecotouch.net and other well known web sites.

Eco Touch wants to educate users about responsible, sustainable car cleaning and washing. I mean why waste water if you don’t have to! They are leading the eco-friendly car care industry and use 100% recyclable bottles and sprayers.

I was able to review the Eco Touch’s exclusive car care kit. It includes everything you need to clean and maintain your car’s interior and exterior surfaces without the use of harsh chemicals. plus, all the products are made in the USA.

What I received:
• Waterless Car Wash (24 oz)
• Dashboard Protect (24 oz)
• Metal Polish (24 oz)
• Carpet + Upholstery (24 oz)
• Window Clear (24 oz)
• All Purpose (24 oz)
• Microfiber Towel Pack

All this sells for $49.99.

At first when I opened the package and looked at the bottle for All Purpose cleaner I thought, there’s no way this one bottle will clean my car. I didn’t grasp the idea. However, once I read the bottle and actually tried it on my car, I realized that the one bottle will last through several car washes. I did my whole car and barely used any. The bottle states 4-6 washes per bottle.

I was very happy with my experience. I know my kids won’t think it’s as fun as using the hose, but think of all the water we’re saving, plus the soap, chemicals and the grime that was on your car, goes into our grass. But not with Eco Touch.

Eco Touch would like to give one Mommy Has to Work reader a kit just like I received.

Bagnesia Review and Giveaway

I hear many people say they don’t use their reusable bags because they forgot them. I usually keep several in my car so I always have one on hand. But there are days when I don’t have them and forget. Pam and Caprice came up with a great idea to help everyone remember their bags. People want to be ecologically and socially responsible. Using even one less plastic bag CAN make a difference in the future of our world. Caprice was visiting Pam and they were teasing each other about their reusable bag amnesia. Each of them wanted to use their reusable bags but could never remember to do so. So they came up with Bagnesia.

Bagnesia is Eco-Friendly Shopping Kits and Accessories to help you remember your reusable bags every time you shop! Bagnesia is committed to helping people live more lightly on the earth, by simply remembering to use their reusable bags. Plastic bag waste is greatly impacting our environment see their website for important information regarding this matter. We need to reinforce the cycle of taking our reusable bags from the house, to the car, into the store and back again. Bagnesia’s solution to that problem is a kit designed to remind everyone of that eco-friendly cycle.
Some of their kits come with a door hanger and a steering wheel cover that say “Grab your bags”. The steering wheel cover is about 4-5 inches long, it won;t cover the whole thing, just enough to remind you. They also have a key chain reminder. Below are pictures of their produce bags. I love these! We go to the local fruit stand and always come home with the little plastic baggies. My husband says, “I always take the cloth bag”, but he still uses the little plastic ones. Not anymore!

The bags are really lightweight too! I carry a small purse and it folds up and fits nicely in my purse. I love these things!

Bagnesia has kindly offered one Mommy Has to Work reader a Solution Kit ( like the one seen above). To enter visit www.bagnesia.com and tell me something you learned from their site.
