GrUVyWear – Swimsuit Review
Mini Golf w/w
We went to Orlando this weekend to meet an old neighbor friend and my stepson, Adam and his girlfriend Amanda. This was one of our adventures!
Here’s Adam and Amanda.
Don decided not to get a putter and used his cane instead!!
Here is Sara and Hunter. They were best friends before we moved. They had a blast catching up!!
Tropical Storm Beryl Go Away!
When we moved to Jacksonville, we were told that Hurricanes never come to that area. It’s been years since that area had a Hurricane.

While this is not a Hurricane it could potentially become one over night! Great! Three months after we move, we get Tropical Storm Beryl!
What’s worse it we are out of town and scheduled to come back in tomorrow, Monday, right when the storm will be there. I really do not want to drive in this weather. Thankfully we have wonderful neighbors who moved all of our outside furniteur and plants inside.
I’m a Coppertone Water Mom!
Summer is here! Maybe not officially, but most places are hot and getting hotter.
Perfect for playing outside, but wait!! DON’T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN!!
I’ve lived in South Florida for 32 years and even though I’ve moved north ( a little) sunscreen still plays an important role in our every day lives.
Here are some basic but necessary tips!
Apply sunscreen before you go into the sun! We always apply before we leave to go to the beach, park, pool or just walking.
Apply enough sunscreen! Did you know you need to apply enough sunscreen to fill a shot glass with? You do!
Get it on everything! Ears, neck, shoulders and don’t forget your lips! They can get sunburned too! Oh and a hat!
Have someone get those hard to reach places so you don’t look like my hubby!
Use SPF 15 or higher! I always use 30 SPF.
Reapply, reapply, reapply. Apply every 2 hours. It’s hard to remember when you’re having fun, but it will hurt you in the long run!
Being a Coppertone Mom, I was sent some samples to share with family and friends, as well as the new Coppertone Spray Sunscreen. The few times we went to the water park, I applied 30 SPF to everyone before we left. I always go a little under the swimsuit to get all exposed skin. Then after a few hours of play, I used the spray to apply again. It was easy to use the pool and it worked wonderfully!

I received samples and information as a Coppertone Mom. Opinions are my own.

It’s Been Three Months Since the Move!
It’s been almost three months since we moved. I can’t believe we really did it! I’m not talking about moving to another house in the same town, but five hours away!
It was 2 years ago, we came to visit my cousin and fell in love with North Florida!
Almost another year later, my mother decides to move north! The nerve! I did not want to be 4.5 hours away from my mom. The kids need their Grammy, right?
So….after much planning and looking, a lot of frustration, we made the move ourselves. But we had to build our house !
We were not able to sell our previous house, so now we are landlords too! It’s not so bad…knock on wood! I was very nervous about owning two homes, but the home builder’s finance department took their time and made it all work out.
It’s amazing what five hours north can do! I lived in South Florida for 30 years and loved it, but I really love North Florida too! It’s a little cooler here. The people seem more friendly. Oh and did I tell you it’s only minutes from the beach!!
Three months later and we are making new friends. Hunter has a bunch of friends from the neighborhood and school. He’s playing flag football and will be starting basketball in June. He’s super excited about staring middle school in the fall. Savannah has made lots of new friends as well. She can’t wait to go to VPK (pre-kindergarten) in the fall!
Here we are at movie night! They have it once a month outside! I’ve met many new friends and neighbors and we are all participating in the community activities. Just this past Saturday, we dressed like Pirates for the Famer’s Market. They had a Pirate invasion! I’ve been to Zumba, been a model in a fashion show and attended a cooking class! Yesterday we all hung out at the water park and had a great day!
If you ever get the chance to check out Nocatee in Ponte Vedra, Fl do it! It’s a wonderful community!
