Blue Apron delivers weekly fresh ingredients and incredible recipes to your door. Every ingredient is included that you will need, so no running out to the store! Meals are never repeated yearly, which is good because you will always get something different. You can choose meals for a family of 2, or a family of 4. Your food comes packaged in a refrigerated box with ice packs, so it stays fresh even if you aren’t home right away. Each meal comes with an easy to follow recipe card complete with pictures (which is something I love because for me having a picture to also follow makes it easier). Recipes are for beginners and experienced cooks.  There is absolutely no commitment, you can skip deliveries or cancel at anytime. You can choose the delivery day as well.

I received the Family Plan, 2 recipes for the week. I received a recipe for Catfish Tacos and a recipe for Chicken and Kale Casserole. The box included everything I needed to make each recipe. All ingredients were super fresh and I was very impressed.

The box had ice packs through out so all of the ingredients stayed nice and cold. The only issue I had was with the chicken. There was a puncture in the chicken package which caused some chicken liquid to seep out. Luckily, the way Blue Apron packaged the food, no liquid went on the other items. I immediately threw out the chicken and spoke to Customer Service at Blue Apron. They apologized and was crediting my account with 2 free meals. Wonderful and fast customer service. I did run out to the store to pick up a package of chicken so I could continue my recipe.

The first meal I cooked was the Catfish Tacos. The recipe directions, which including pictures, really helped me with making my recipe. I love to see pictures to make sure I am preparing and cooking everything right. So I love that Blue Apron includes this.

The catfish was very fresh. I do love fish but I rarely eat catfish, so I wasn’t sure how I would like this recipe. It was delicious! The coleslaw topping had the best marinade recipe, and my favorite, Avocado, was included! I am not a big Sweet Potato fan either but they really turned out great. Even my 2 children loved this meal!

Chicken and Kale Casserole was next on the list. I have never tried Kale, so I was looking forward to trying it for the first time, as was my family.

This recipe was also a winner with my family! All of use enjoyed the Kale, and look forward to having it in more recipes. The sauce was really yummy.

What I really love about Blue Apron is that I don’t have to run out to the store for anything! They include every single thing you need for the recipe, right down to sending you a carton of milk if the recipe calls for milk. So many times I forget something at the store when I am shopping for my dinners and it gets frustrating. Blue Apron makes it so easy, and it is very affordable! I also love that the recipes aren’t something I would think of making myself, or even ordering at a restaurant. So with getting them it makes me try something new that I wouldn’t have tried otherwise. I highly recommend trying Blue Apron for delicious easy meals you can make with your family.
