#StopSnacking With Full Core

I am a snacker. I snack when I’m bored too. Which to me, is the worst, because I’m not even hungry. It’s frustrating and I’ve been this way forever, as my mom is a snacker too. See all my snacks! My hubby is responsible for most of these, but it can be hard not to resist…

I would love to find that one pill or drink that will curb my appetite and slow down my snacking. Popcorn sounds like a good snack, but not with all  the cheese and caramel on top!

004

I recently was asked to try Full Core. It’s like a sot drink that is a natural appetite suppressant. It has no caffeine or other stimulants. It’s only 25 calories a drink. The can is about the size of one of those energy drinks. What I love is that Full Core is an alternative to a soda that provides 40% (10 grams) of daily fiber needs. Who can’t use more fiber in their diet?

I went on a shopping trip to find Full Core. You can see my experience of that trip here on Google+.It was out of stock at the first store, so you may want to call ahead to see if it’s available.

I only purchased a 4 pack of Full Core, But I think I will head back and get some more. I really need help in this department. I eat pretty well and exercise 3-4 times a week, but I just can’t get a way from the snacking. Full Core’s Twitter handle is #StopSnacking – just what I need!

Find out more information on Full Core by visiting their website http://fullcore.com. Find a store that carries Full Core here – http://www.fullcorestore.com/.

Raspberry Lemon Thumbprint Cookies

136

My mother, cousin, Merrilee and I got together last week and made cookies. I wanted to share one of my favorites with you! This is Merrilee’s recipe!!

Raspberry Lemon Thumbprint Cookies

Recipe Type: Desserts
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Raspberry Jam
  • 1/2 cup Lemon Curd
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 sticks butter, at room temp
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. With Jam and Curd, you need to add a little water or OJ to loosen it up. We used water.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Wisk to blend.
  4. In separate bowl, beat butter and sugar with mixer until light and creamy. Beat in egg yolks, lemon zest, lemon juice and vanilla.
  5. Add flour mixture slowly and beat until moist clumps form.
  6. Roll dough into balls. (we placed balls on parchment paper, on cookie sheets)
  7. Use floured 1/2 teaspoon to create depressions into balls.
  8. Fill holes with Jam and cook about 15-20 minutes.

We also made a yummy icing to put on the Raspberry Jam cookies. Just take powdered sugar and oj or lemon juice. Place in baggie and cut small hole. Then drizzle on top.

Oh my, these are delicious!!

Kind Bars – Healthy Snacking

I love to snack! It’s hard to find healthy snack that actually taste good.

Until now….

A box of these new Kind Bars was sent to me to try out and let me tell you… They are YUMM!

The bars were actually sent from RaceTrac. They have a new line of products in their stores, Better For You, which provide you with healthier options!!  Other healthy items are Yumnuts and Popchips.

We had a road trip this past summer and I know what’s it’s like going into the gas station store and coming out with a bunch of unhealthy snacks. They kinda drag you down. But these new Kind Bars will perk you up!

Some of the flavors we tried were:

POMEGRANATE BLUEBERRY PISTACHIO + ANTIOXIDANTS
PEANUT BUTTER DARK CHOCOLATE + PROTEIN
ALMOND WALNUT MACADAMIA WITH PEANUTS + PROTEIN
ALMOND & COCONUT
APPLE CINNAMON & PECAN
PEANUT BUTTER DARK CHOCOLATE + PROTEIN
Our favorites were the ones with chocolate, of course! Even the kids liked them!

They have a new flavor that I really want to try Dark Chocolate Nuts & Sea Salt. It’s a sweet and salty blend of almonds, peanuts, and walnuts drizzled in chocolate with a touch of sea salt. YUMM.

Check out RaceTrac on Facebook

Have Fun With Ragu

Want something fun to do online? Create a fun video with your own pictures or videos with  ‘Give Em Ragú’ App.

To celebrate and chronicle the challenges of childhood, Ragu, America’s favorite pasta sauce, has debuted the ‘Give Em Ragú’ App. The app is an extension of and inspired by the brand’s Long Day of Childhood campaign

Perfect for snowy days or those non school days coming up. This will give families something to do together. You can s photos and videos from mobile phones, Instagram and Facebook albums to create your  very own commercial and share with family and friends. I tried on my phone  and then tried again online using Facebook. It did not work for me, but I think I need to update some of my software.

How it works:

To use the app, parents simply  select photos or a video from a mobile phone or Facebook page, give it a title (such as the timeless classic, “I dropped my ice cream cone”) and the app will pair the phrase with an original Ragú jingle. The video can then be shared through Facebook or YouTube, and is a great way to connect and share a laugh. To download the app, consumers can visit the ITunes APP store.

To download the app for iPhones, consumers can visit the ITunes APP store.  To download the app for Android, consumers can visit the Google Play store.

Users can also check out the Give ‘Em Ragu app on the Ragu Facebook page.

Let me know if it works for you!

I will received Ragu coupons for posting.
