Ban T-Shirts Review and Giveaway

I found another great clothing company that is organic, sweat shop free and made in the USA. Ban T-Shirts has a variety of t-shirts and tote bags with a variety of sayings. They have environmental t-shirts ( which are my favorite), organic t-shirts, political, anti war and much more.

Also, for every t-shirt sold a tree will be planted. Ban T-shirts makes a donation equivalent to the cost of planting a tree to Trees For The Future for every T-shirt you buy.

I was able to review one of their t-shirt and I choose one for my husband. He picked the saying: Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned, the last fish has been caught, will we realize that we can’t eat money. This t-shirt design is inspired by a Native American prophecy which is usually said to be of Cree origin but has also been reported as a Hopi prophecy.

The shirt was super soft and very comfy. My husband is a t-shirt man, so he knows his shirts. The day he wore it to the baseball fields, it was very hot and he got very sweaty. He said the shirt did not feel wet and sticky like other shirts, he didn’t notice that his shirt was wet ( I didn’t use that pic!)
He’s very happy with his new shirt and now he wants more!

Ban T-Shirts has kindly offered one Mommy Has to Work reader a t-shirt of their choice. To enter visit Ban T-Shirts and tell me something you learned.

Barley and Birch Organic Clothing Review and Giveaway

Who doesn’t love organic clothing? Especially clothing that is made in the USA using 100% certified organic cotton and water-based inks. Clothing for our children that is soft, ageless and doesn’t shrink up after 1-2 washes.

Then Barley and Birch is for you! They offer shirts, onesies, pants and hats sized 3-6 moths to size 6. Their clothes don’t pollute the earth, water, or expose farm workers to toxins.

Barley and Birch decided to make every single facet of their line of clothing carbon neutral. They work with manufacturers and suppliers that are largely powered by solar energy. They are largely paper-free and any paper involved with the line is 100% post-consumer recycled.
Barley and Birch also donate at least 15% of their profits to several carbon-reducing initiatives in order to fully offset the carbon emissions that result from the production of our garments. And another 15% goes to organizations that improve people’s lives around the world.

I was able to review one of their tanks for my little daughter. She how she shows off her new shirt! I love the feel of the shirt, very soft and love that it’s tagless. I’m very proud of Barley and Birch, a company that takes our future seriously. More companies need to follow in their footsteps. Thank you barley and Birch.

Barley and Birch has kindly offered one Mommy Has to Work reader an item of their choice. To enter visit Barley and Birch and tell me what item you would chose if you win.

GreenSmart Wate Bottle and Tote

NOW CLOSED!!

GreenSmart has bags and cases that are not just green but neogreene. They make bags from bottles, laptop cases, bottle cases and briefcases.

(this from their website)
Product: know where it comes from and how it is made. We all have choices.

Any company can make something out of cotton and call it green. Our approach is deeper. We ask where the materials come from, who makes them, how are they made, what resources and how much are consumed to do so, what are the conditions, what is the eco-footprint, and more. Our goal of making products that are substantially better eco, social, function and design choices than comparable competing products drives us to find better materials and better methods and then encourage and enhance the efforts of those people. To embed change, we must reward the change agents and expand their opportunities. In this way, we feel, we can create products that make a difference.

I love going on the GreenSmart website, it’s full of information on how you can make a difference. They even have a GreenSmart glossary to help you be GreenSmarter.

I was able to review the small Neogreene bottle tote. It protects almost any shape bottle and uses less fabric than other bottle sleeves. It keeps your drink hot or cold better than the others.

GreenSmart has offered to give one Mommy Has to Work reader a Neogreene bottle tote with a stainless steel water bottle, just like mine! You’ll love it! To enter go to their website and learn something. There’s so much there to learn.

Giveaway ends October 12, 2009 at 9:000pm EST. Winner will have 48 hours to respond to email – Good luck!

Skoy – Review and Giveaway- 2 winners

Skoy is an eco-friendly household cleaning cloth that outlasts 15 rolls of paper towels. The SKOY cloth has an absorption factor of 15x its own weight. As a result, producing the most superior cloth product available. Imagine using 15 sheets of good-quality paper towels at once… This is how a wet SKOY cloth will feel in your hand.

The SKOY cloth is long-lasting because of the wash ability feature. It dries quickly, so it is not a breeding ground for bacteria. You can microwave your SKOY cloth or it is also dishwasher and washer/dryer safe. Cleaning your SKOY cloth will keep it healthy and germ free.

I was given a 4 pack to try out and have fallen in love. I even gave 2 to co-workers at work. I wet the Skoy cloth and wipe down any surface and then rinse and lay flat to dry. I love the fact that I’m not using as many paper towels. The Skoy cloth is nice and thick too. I’m already putting these on my Christmas list to give as presents.

Skoy as kindly offered a 4pack of Skoy clothes to 2 Mommy Has to Work readers. Please visit their website at Skoycloth.com and leave a comment telling me you did so.
