While visiting the Indianapolis Zoo, Savannah made sure she told everyone where we were and where we were going. She loved checking out her “map”.
A working mom trying to do it all ....and succeeding!

I'm a mother of 2 who likes to get involved in too much! Besides writing here I started a non-profit, I'm on the PTO board, very active in my community and volunteer in the school. I enjoy music, reading, cooking, traveling and spending time with my family. We just adopted our 3rd cat and love them all!
We will be visiting Indiana this summer and I have been looking for some great places to take the family to.
One stop will definitely be the Children’s Musuem of Indianapolis. The Children’s Museum has 5 floors of fun and exploration!
Five floors! That’s incredible! I actually visited the museum about 15 years ago with my husband’s three boys. This will be the first for my two little ones. They will be so excited!
Right now the newest exhibit is the National Geographic Treasures of the Earth (www.childrensmuseum.org/treasures). It features 3 archaeological sites—an Egyptian tomb, a pirate shipwreck, and the terra cotta warrior dig pits. The whole idea is to explore the clues in each area and discover for yourself whose tomb it is…if it’s a pirate shipwreck…and who were the warriors protecting. There are tons of authentic artifacts, technology, hands on interactive, etc.
Both my children will love that. Savannah on a lower scale only as the cartoon, Oliva loves pirates.
Other attractions are: Dinosphere, Take Me There Egypt, Dora and Diego, Barbie fashion, Playscape, Story Avenue, Indy Racecar, Science Works and Biotechnology Learning Center. The museum has a Carousel, a store and a food court as well.
It sounds like an all day adventure! I’m not sure if we will be a be to see it all.
I will take lots of pictures and will do a review post after we come back from our trip!!
* I will receive 1 admission to the museum to compensate my post. Opinions are my own.

We will be heading to Indiana in a week or so and am looking forward to all the places to visit! The Indianapolis Zoo will be on our list of places to see.
The Indianapolis Zoo is not just a zoo! It features an aquarium and a botanical garden. That is so awesome! A multiple of things to do and see!
The Indianapolis Zoo has many special zoo experiences. Some of them are: The Dolphin In-Water Adventure, Elephant Bathing Adventure and then the Adventure Tours, which is a behind the scene tour. There is also animal art adventures, featuring the elephants, penguins, sea lion, seals and walrus. I’ve seen elephant art before, it’s pretty cool!
Also, if you’re planning a trip, check out the zoo’s special events. The Zoolapalooza concert series will going on while we’re there.
While visiting there website, I came across this info on Child Id and thought it was a great idea!
Child ID Program presented by Revol Wireless
Thanks to our partners at Revol Wireless, we have a Child ID Program. When you arrive at the Zoo, or at several locations on Zoo grounds, you may pick up a paper wristband for your child and register the name and your cell phone number with the Zoo. If your child should become separated from you, this program will allow Zoo staff to call you on your cell phone so you can be quickly and safely reunited. Only the child’s first name is used. We hope you take advantage of this program, and we thank Revol for their help in providing this safety program at the Zoo!
I can’t wait to take my family to the Indianapolois Zoo and I will be sharing some awesome photos and a more on my thoughts on the trip.
* I will receive complimentary admission to the zoo to compensate for this post. Opinions are my own.
