As a parent to two children, I am very familiar with toys. Toys EVERYWHERE in my home. So many that my children play with, and never touch again. Especially Lego’s. They will build Lego sets, have fun with their creations for a total of 5 minutes, and then the set is destroyed never to been seen again. Come on, who is with me on this? So much money spent on these sets only to be played with for a short time. There has to be something better. Well, there is! Let me introduce you to Toy Library.

I was sent the Novice Monthly subscription. All toys come in a mesh bah with tag on it showing what is included and how many pieces are included. This included two toys up to a $80 value. I told them my children’s ages (7 and 10) and was sent the following for review:

Ahhhh a Lego set I do not have to keep! This set my 10 yr old put together in about 35 minutes. It is a lot of fun and my kiddos have enjoyed playing with it. It was brand new as you can tell from the pictures, so when I returned I made sure to include all packaging back in the mesh bag.
I also received the following for my kids to keep:
This Lego bracelet is the coolest! It comes with some Lego pieces to build on the bracelet and wear around. My son loves it!!

In conclusion, I think this is such a great monthly service to join. No more clutter around the house, no more playing with a $50 toy for 5 seconds and not knowing where it ends up after that. The first thing I noticed about Blue Orange Games is that they have really cool and fun looking games. Totally different than the usually department store game selection. I couldn’t wait to get the games and play them with my two children.

The first game I played with my children was Pool Party.  What a perfect game for the hot summer weather we are having here in Florida! The box is colorful and fun, my kids couldn’t wait to open and play!

This game is so much fun! My kids and I had a blast trying to get out swimmers in the pool! My kids said they could play this forever. It was the perfect game for my 7 year old who usually gets upset when he doesn’t win or doesn’t understand how to play.

The second game we played is called Maki Stack. My daughter loves sushi, so when she saw the box she automatically wanted to play it right away.

Order’s up- it’s time for a sushi showdown! Put on your mask and grab your teammate, or prepare to use your fingers as chopsticks. Balance and arrange the sushi, plates, and soy sauce bottles, and make sure to execute the order exactly as shown on the card. But be careful, one wrong move and everything might tumble over! Race a friend or challenge as a team in this sushi stacking extravaganza. High-quality wooden pieces and crazy stacking combinations make Maki Stack perfect for a game night full of fun and laughs.

This game is so much fun! My daughter loved where you have to use a blindfold to stack the pieces. We both had so much fun playing this game.

 

The third game is called Who did it? If you have a child that loves emojis, especially the “poop” emoji, they will love this game.

In this hilarious card game, players race to get rid of their cards so they can avoid the blame of owning the animal that pooped. Each game is as funny as it is fast; quickly find your card, be the first to throw it down, and then blame someone else! Was it YOUR cat that pooped in the living room? Because it wasn’t my fish!

Break it out at the next family game night, social gathering, or cocktail party. Who Did It? is sure to bring laughs and just the right amount of potty humor. Plus the cute, plushy zippered pouch keeps all the cards and tokens safe, and is the perfect size for on-the-go fun.

This game had all of us lagging the whole time! A simple yet fun card game that was all about Poop!! So fun!

Last but not least….my absolute favorite out of all of them, Shaky Manor!!

Local legend says the house on the corner contains hidden treasures… you find yourself taking a chance and entering to strike it rich, but it isn’t that easy to keep the treasures safe from the creatures that haunt the dusty rooms!

In this game, race to position your Meeple Player and 2 Treasure Chests into the room indicated on the Challenge Card by shaking and tilting your box. Each time you succeed in keeping the treasure safe, you win the card as a point and the player to your right adds a new spooky creature into your box to make the next round harder!

I love how you can start playing this game before opening the box! Start tilting!  Two of the rooms are together with the play pieces, so you can see through the box and start playing. This game was so much fun, I love games of skill and logic. My 9-year-old had a blast playing this as well did I!

 

I was super impressed with these awesome games from Blue Orange! These games would be a great addition to your family game nights. They would also make fabulous gifts!

“Snapables” Fun Clothing for Kids (review and giveaway)

I was able to review new clothing from a company called Warmables. Warmables makes clothing that are called “Snapables” that are so much fun for kids!

What are Snapables?

SNAPABLES Raglan T’s are finally here! We take 100% cotton fabric and sew a T’shirt. Then we glue emoji’s to snaps and press 4 receiving snaps into the shirt. And there you have a SNAPABLE, adorable T’shirt with exchangeable mini toys. 4 emojis, 1 large and 3 small bugs come with each shirt. 4 toys total can be snapped on to each shirt. Once completed we pack everything happily into a clear Chinese takeout container to make giving this gift ever so easy and fun. We make each shirt individually and all toys will vary, especially the bugs. Placement of the snaps on the shirts will also vary, we really make one by one and take our time giving each shirt it’s individual look. Boys and girls love them equally to play with, count and trade them or exchange and share on the playground. Snapables offers kids clothing in Raglan style and T-shirt styles for boys and girls. A really adorable ballet skirt will be available soon (my favorite). I was able to review a t-shirt for my son and a ballet skirt for my daughter. My son is all about creepy crawly bugs and my daughter loves emojis so they are thrilled with their new Snapables clothing! Each order comes in really cute see through chinese take-out containers. They are perfect to hold all of your fun toy snaps!

The clothes are offered in sizes 3T-6T. Each article of clothing comes with 4 permanent snaps on them. They also come with a variety of fun themed toy snaps to snap on to the permanent snaps. You can snap as many as 4 on at a time. I love how my kids can run around and these never fall off. The shirts are 100% cotton and machine washable. Very stretchy and comfy for my kids. I am a big fan of natural products, especially ones used on our bodies. I was able to review some natural soap products from Dr. Jacobs Naturals. I am excited to share my thoughts with you on these great natural products.

 

 

About Dr. Jacobs Naturals:

Dr. Jacobs was a Swiss chemist that perfected the long-standing Castilian tradition of making Jabon de Castilla or Castile soap before the turn of the 19th century. Today, we still use the same recipes and work to uphold the long-standing tradition of making natural Castile Soap products.

The company Dr. Jacobs was created by Joey and Ezra Aini in the spring 2011. Familiar with cosmetics and skincare from other brands they have launched, they are answering the call of demand from customers for a multi-purpose natural soap product.

This bar smells so good! I love the coconut smell with a hint of lime. It is smooth and does not leave a film on your body when you wash it off.

 

Dr. Jacobs Naturals Castile Liquid Soap – Almond Honey

$10.95 for 16 oz or $17.95 for 32 oz.

DESCRIPTION

This gentle blend of almond and honey is nourishing for the skin and rich in antioxidants. Enriched with sweet Almond Oil, the Almond and Honey blend provides a natural source of Omega 9 to add moisture. Real honey lends its antioxidant and antimicrobial properties, as well as offering the protective ability to retain moisture, keeping the skin hydrated all day, soft and smooth to the touch. Almond oil is a popular essential oil commonly used in aromatherapy and is suitable for most skin types. It is rich in vitamin A, B and E, which are great for skin health. Directions: Pour on a washcloth, sponge, or hand. Lather and rinse. My favorite scent in the world is the smell of Almonds. I just love it. Mix that with honey….oh my gosh I am in heaven. This soap is just amazing, smell wise and lather wise. It goes on thick and the smell is light when you wash it off. Makes my skin so smooth! The 16 oz comes with a soap pump while the 32 oz does not.

 

Dr. Jacobs Naturals Castile Liquid Soap – Peppermint

$10.95 for 16 oz or $17.95 for 32 oz.

DESCRIPTION

Peppermint will cleanse and deliver a soothing and cooling effect for your skin while providing a pleasantly refreshing and tingling sensation. Modern Science has been catching up with Mint and some of the most recent findings show that it is neuro-protective, offering benefits for reducing the risk of reactive oxygen species-related diseases. It soothes the skin and helps to cure infections and itchiness, as well as being a good way to reduce pimples. Its anti-pruritic properties can be used for treating insect bites like those of mosquitoes, honeybees, hornets, wasps, and gnats. The cooling sensation will relieve you of the irritating sensation to scratch. Directions: Pour on a washcloth, sponge, or hand. Lather and rinse. Ingredients: Aqua, organic coconut oil, olive oil, sunflower seed oil, potassium hydroxide, glycerin, clove oil, tea tree oil, citric acid, caramel.

Who doesn’t like the smell of peppermint? I was a little skeptical of this scent because I have never thought of washing my body with a peppermint scent. It is wonderful! Very light but pleasant. The liquid is just like the Almond Honey, where it is thick and makes my skin very smooth. The 16 oz comes with a soap pump while the 32 oz does not.

 

I am very happy with these natural body soap products. As you can see, there is nothing artificial about the ingredients at all. It feels good knowing what I put on my skin.
