The California Wine Club

I’m not a huge wine drinker, but I do like a glass once and awhile. My parents both drink wine and I’ve tasted many different ones from them.

My favorite wine would be a Merlot. I like it at room temperature. I remember my brother introduced me to Merlot….

I was able to review two bottle from The California Wine Club. One red and one white. They are from the Robledo Family Winery.

The red is Tempranillo, 2009. My father and stepmom were down to visit when we opened the red wine. They buy wine by the cases and have belonged to several wine clubs. They really enjoyed the Tempranillo. I enjoyed it with my Italian dinner. They had a bottle they brought along and said they liked mine better.

The white wine was a Sauvignan Blanc, 2008. I tried it and was not pleased with it. However white wine is not my favorite. I did take it along to my mother’s house and she and my uncle did enjoy the Sauvignan Blanc. They said is was slightly dry, not too tart and smooth.

I think I will stick with reds!

So wine choose a wine club? It’s really a great way to try new wines and if you find one you like you can re-order! The California Wine Club lets you choose red or white or both! You can order as gift for someone or yourself!

Have You #TrySnapShot w/Progressive Yet?

I told you last month how I took the Snapshot Test Drive challenge. It was very easy to do. Just plug this cool little device into my car and it recorded how well or not so well, I drove. I had it installed for 30 days and at the end of thirty days I sent it back to Progressive.

I am happy to report that I was a good driver! I got a B+!! Yeah!

So what does that mean? Based on my driving for the past 30 days, Progressive says I could get a Snapshot Discount of between 9-15% extra off their rate.

That’s cool. I love a discount!

I felt like I drove better because I had the device in my car. I didn’t want to make it beep! Hopefully I can keep up on my good driving!

I was sent a package of men’s’ white t-shirts for my son and some tank tops and sports bras for my self. The Comfort Blend brand is a 50/50 cotton/poly blend that gives wonderful softness and less shrinking. The t-shirts are almost too soft. Very comfy! The sports bras are perfect for working out. After several washes of each, no shrinkage and still comfy!

Mia Mariu Cosmetics Giveaway

I love finding new products to try especially of they natural.

I was sent some prodcuts from Mia Mariu, the Refresning Foaming Gel Cleanser and the Anti-Aging Eye Treatment.

I knew I would love the cleanser right from the start. It’s light and fresh and there is no strong odor. You only need as little bit to wash your fash. It foams up nice. My skin feels soft and fresh after washing. Sea Kelp and Aloe are wonderful ingrediants that make this a gentle cleanser for all skin types.

The Anti-Aging Eye Treatment is ligtweight and absorbs quickly into the skin. After I apply it I can feel my skin getting frimer. Sounds crazy but it’s true! Great ingrediants are Japanese Green Tea, Aloe and Vitamins B5 and E, all of which help reduce puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. After hitting the 40 year mark, I wreally need to start working on my skin and taking care of it.

I will defiantly be re-order these products when they run out and would reccomned them.

Get Personal with Personal Creations

I always wonder what to get some friends and relatives for the holidays. One item I like to get when I can is personalized items. Whether it be a coffee mug or photo book, I like to get something that means I thought about them a little bit extra.

Photos gifts have been my number one favorite gift item for the past few years. This year I was shopping on line and was looking up personalized ornaments. I really loved the turtle family above and kinda wish I’d had gotten that one for my family.
