Sponsor Highlight – French Toast Giveaway Coming

French Toast has everything you will need for back to school.  What is French Toast? It’s an online website that sells school uniforms. Really nice uniforms.

Hunter has needed to wear an uniform since pre-k and now Savannah will be starting to wear one in her 3 year old class. I love that they wear them. It makes it so much easier to buy school clothes and the kids look so much more “put together”. I’m hoping that when Hunter starts middle school, the school will change their policy and enforce some type of uniform there as well.

French Toast is one of my sponsors for the Back to School Giveaway Hop starting August 7-14th. They offer boys school uniforms and girls school informs. Plus accessories!

They sent me a uniform for each of my children. Don’t they look adorable? I’m going to get Savannah some of those knee high socks to wear. So cute!! Savannah did not want to take her uniform off after the photo shoot. I really liked the quality and while I haven’t washed them yet, they look very durable. I will be washing this weekend and will let you know!

French Toast will be giving away 2 uniforms to one Mommy Has to Work reader! Get ready – the giveaway starts Sunday!

They’re on Facebook and Twitter too!  Follow now for early entries!!

GourmetGiftBaskets.com – Care Packages Review/Giveaway

GournmetGiftBaskets.com has some really great gift baskets! If you haven’t checked them out, please do. They have gifts for any occasion. Right now the Care Packages are great to send for the summer or the beginning of school. I have a stepson in college and we sent him the Sports Fan Care Package for 34.99.
The package was sent to me first, so I opened it up and took a look inside. There are a lot of goodies in there! That box was pretty deep!

When Adam called to say he received his care package, he sounded excited and was very thankful. He was like,” there is so much stuff in there and everything I like!

But there are many to choose from, this Summer Fun Camp Care for example would make a great end of summer gift! Or how about a gift to the new college student. GourmetGiftBaskets.com has so many baskets to choose from, it can be hard to choose just one. There are wine baskets, beer, pets, Italian and more!

One Mommy Has to Work reader can win the Sports Care Package, pictured above. The same one I received!

101 Offline Activities – Book Review

These days it seems everyone has an iPhone, droid or iPod, something to connect us to the Internet. I personally love it and will admit it – I’m addicted! I love how much info there is to find. And of course I bought each of my kids and iPod touch and they are only 3 and 10!

But, seriously, we all need to monitor what we do and how much time we spend connected with and electronic devices and focus on each other. I love reading and playing with my children. I love to act silly and play games. 101 Offline Activities You Can Do With Your Child is a great little book that gives you a ton of fun games to play with your children. The book is filled with activities you can do at home, on the go, at restaurants and more!

One that we’ve played since, forever, is I Spy. The book calls it Bistro Spy. While waiting for your table at a restuarant or waiting for your food, you can spy objects all around the restaurant. Other favorites, that we always do – Traveling Board Games – I used to make my own, and Travel Tally, where you count certain objects while traveling on the road.

Many of the games get creative by upcycling and recycling products around the house, I love that.

If you’re looking for more ideas and some good clean fun to be had with your kids or grand kids, check it out!

These games are fun, easy and eco-friendly!

You can buy the book from Barnes & Noble or Amazon here.

This is a FRN review. I received a copy of the book to facilitate this review. opinions are my own.

Green Girls Market Review

Living in South Florida I’m always fighting mosquitoes. Every summer it becomes a battle. The mosquito, my family and me. Mosquitoes love me too. But…. I’m not a fan of bug spray.

I was able to review a natural insect repelling balm. It’s called No More Bugz! Insect Repelling Balm. The balm is so cool because you can just apply it to your skin instead of spraying it all over the place. It’s all natural with no Deet, so it’s safe for babies and children. The ingredient lists includes a 100% natural blend of oils and beeswax and an organic essential oil blend of citronella, peppermint, lemongrass, cedarwood, geranium, lemon eucalyptus and lavender. The balm works on mosquitoes, black flies & other pests.

When we were up in Indiana we had to use it for these little flies that bite. They were terrible! But after using the No More Bugz! Insect Repelling Balm, it was much better. I’m not a fan of the smell though, but I have a thing about smells, so it could just be me.

If your looking for something natural, I would give it a try. It’s $9.95 at www.greengirlsmarket.com

Also, check out the other cool stuff at the Green Girls Market. There are reusable bags and bottles, beauty supplies and more. It’s not just a store where you can buys other brands. Green Girls Market has created a lot of the stuff themselves.

Check out Green Girls Market on Facebook and Twitter too!

39DollarGlasses.com Review/Giveaway

Are you looking for a nice pair of glasses but don’t want to spend a lot of money? Check out 39DollarGlasses.com!

I was a little skeptical about ordering discount glasses online, but my husband needed a new pair of glasses and we already used our free pair through our insurance. My hubby usually sleeps in his while watching TV and they get all bent up, so I didn’t want to spend a fortune on them anyway.

I picked out the Leonardo in Gunmetal in the Metal eyeglass section.

When the glasses arrived they did not fit properly on my husband’s face. I mean how could they? Glasses usually need to be adjusted even when you get them at an optical store. So we took them to a local eyeglass shop and they adjusted them for us. No biggie. My husband really likes his glasses.
I would reccomend 39DollarGlasses.com for anyone wanting glasses. For me, I like to try them on and look at myself, but if your not super picky, I would give them a try.
A little bit about the company:
The company is owned by two eye doctors and every thing is made in the USA, which I love! They offer fast turn around time, it didn’t take long at all for my hubby’s glasses to come in. They also offer emergency, next day service, if you need it.
They also offer kid’s glasses with a wide selection of glasses to choose from. All kids glasses come with poly carbonate lenses with UV protection and scratch resistant coverings. This is standard. They are also all shatter proff, which is very important, especially with the way kids play and all.

For 10% off of your purchase – use code MHTW11

One Mommy Has to Work reader will get  one pair of prescription glasses or sunglasses (up to $75.00) . To enter like 39DollarGlasses.com  on their Facebook page.
