Sugar Free Ring Pop Review

You’ve heard of Ring Pop before, but did you know that there are sugar free Ring Pop? Yes that’s right, sugar free!!

There are three great flavors – Blue Raspberry, Watermelon, and Strawberry. Sugar Free Ring Pop is a diabetic-friendly candy that’s ideal for today’s active kids!

I received one each of the new Ring Pops to review with my children. Unfortunately I try to limit the amount of “color” in my son’s diet, so he only got to try one of them.

Did they like them?   YES!

Could they tell they were sugar free?   NO!

I love being able to sneak

If you limit Ring Pops due to sugar, now you have an alternative. Check out Ring Pop on Facebook too!

*I received a sample to facilitate this review. Opinions are my own.

Cars 2 Review:Not What I Expected

Saturday morning I was able to take my daughter to see the new Cars 2 movie at Muvico in downtown West Palm Beach. Don’t forget to enter my Cars 2 Giveaway Prize Pack for some awesome goodies. We were super excited to be able to go. There was a large line, but since I was given passes, I was able to go right in. How exciting! Another surprise, was that we were going to see it in 3D! Savannah really didn’t know what that meant, but she liked getting the glasses.

The theater was filled with anxious children and media types. Thank goodness for all the other children. Savannah got up and down and moved and stood and had 2 or, was it 3, potty breaks. 🙂 I was tired by the end of the movie.

The review:

I was a little dissapointed in the new Cars 2 movie. It wasn’t really for young children, which doesn’t mean it’s not a great movie.  There was a lot of talk of “getting rid of” or “taking out” certain cars and even “killing” McQueen. There was fast action and lots of gun fire and loud noises. This doesn’t sit well with my 3 year old. Now my 10 year old son will love it, I’m sure!

If I had to choose between Cars and Cars 2 for the entire family, I would choose the original Cars. The older children will love Cars 2, though.

Star racecar Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to exciting new places in “Cars 2” when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world’s fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage. Mater finds himself torn between assisting Lightning McQueen in the high-profile race and towing the line in a top-secret mission orchestrated by master British super spy Finn McMissile (voice of Michael Caine) and the stunning rookie field spy Holley Shiftwell (voice of Emily Mortimer). Mater’s action-packed journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, trailed by his friends and watched by the whole world. The fast-paced fun includes a colorful new all-car cast, complete with menacing villains and international racing competitors.

How to Move From Blogger to WordPress e-book Review/Giveaway

Not sure if you all know that I recently switched from Blogger to WordPress. I’m still a newbie and still have tons of questions!

While I must say Blogger is much easier, I’m still glad I made the switch! So many of my favorite blogs are on WordPress.

I signed up to review this wonderful e-book by Sharon Hujik : How to Move from Blogger to WordPress: a comprehensive guide so you don’t miss a step. When I signed up I hadn’t decided I wanted to make the switch, yet.

I got the book and skimmed through and thought “I can’t do this.” The book was easy to understand and very detailed. But, I just don’t have the time to do it all. So I emailed Sharon, who was also recommended by fellow bloggers and had her do it for me.

While it did cost more money for her to do it, I was so relieved to have her do it!

Why get the book? The book gives you step by step instructions with illustrations. It’s very detailed. It shows you how to set up a test blog, before you make the final switch. You will about Plugins, Widgets and Themes. It even tells you how to change feedburner and Google Friend Connect! Still not sure? You are able to download a few chapter for free to see how it’s worded. You will see how detailed and easy it is to read.

If your looking to make the switch from Blogger to WordPress and you want to do it yourself – get the book! It’s worth it! I’m still going through it here and there, trying to figure things out.

If you want to switch and are too chicken, like me, email Sharon, she’s wonderful!

You can purchase the e-book for $35.00 (look for promo code on website)

Guess what? I have 2 copies of How to Move from Blogger to WordPress to giveaway!

To enter – Have you been considering the move? Did you already? How did it go?

Best Pals – Doll and Gift Set Review/Giveaway

What little girl doesn’t like to play with dolls? And have tea parties? My little one has always liked the dolls and just recently got into having tea parties. We have had lots of te parties lately!

I was able to review some wonderful items from Best Pals. Best Pals are dolls created by Kathy and Janet Lennon, of the Lennon Sisters. The Lennon Sisters are a quertet that started singing in 1955 and still perform in Branson and select venues throughout the year. They had a dream and decided to follow that dream and because of that we have Best pals.

Best Pals are wholesome toys in this electronic toy age. They are a wonderful gift for any child. I know mydaughter, Savnnah loves to play with her toys!

What I received:

Best Pal Kathy – This is an exact replica of Kathy Lennon’s original ragdoll from 1949. She measures 16”. Shje is just adorable! Each doll is numbered. The clothes are removable – Savannah has hers naked!
(Not sure why, but of of Savannah’s dolls are naked) The dolls come with a “Best Pals” baby bead bracelet.

Best Pals CD – full of wonderful music – contains 14 songs

Best Pals Tea Set – It’s a tin tea set with a service for four. Being tin is great – I don’t have to worry about Savannah breaking anything!

Best Pals would love to offer one Mommy Has to Work reader a set just like the one I received, but you get to pick which doll.

To enter visit Best Pals and leave a comment on which doll you would choose if you won!D. The prize package has a retail value of $75.
