Young Living Essential Oils Giveaway

I have always been interested in trying Essential Oils. I have many friends who swear by them, and that essential oils can help everyday issues such as stress, headaches, stomach issues and much more. I am for anything natural that can help. I was recently contacted by a An independent distributor for Young Living Essential Oils. Her name is Nicolle Schwartz, and she has offered a giveaway for my readers. Below you will find information all about Young Living Essential Oils.

About Young Living:

Young Living was started by Gary Young over 20 years ago. He and his wife Mary still run, own and operate the company.  Young Living owns all of their own farms and distilleries all over the globe.

Young Living has developed their own “Seed to Seal” promise that ensures that they have inspected the purity of the oil from the planting of the seed to the sealing of the bottle.

Because of the Seed to Seal promise, they are what we call, “beyond organic”.  When Young Living buys land for a new farm they even check the history of that land to ensure there has never been any pesticides or herbicides used on it that could leak into the crop.Young Living Essential Oils don’t have any additives in them and are complete pure.  This makes them safe for Ingestion.

Stroll through a lavender field or a pine forest, and your senses are instantly awakened—from the energizing aromas that envelop you to the sense of well-being that they evoke. At Young Living, we celebrate this harmony between nature, body, mind, and soul, and we infuse it into everything we make.

What are Essential Oils?

Young Living Essential Oils are a pure, therapeutic grade and work with your body to assist your health.  Within 20 minutes of applying an oil, they can be found in every cell of your body.   These types of pure oils are steam distilled from plants and contain the hormones, immunity, scents and essence of each one.  They can be used aromatically (through diffusing, putting a couple of drops in your hands and smelling or just smelling from the bottle), topically (the feet is the best place to start as they are the least sensitive) or some oils are FDA approved to be ingested as well.

In addition to essential oils,  Young Living also provides chemical free cleaning products, a kids line, beauty products, and other products to supplement a healthy lifestyle.

If your Child Loves Animals They Will Love a Subscription to Zoobooks! Review and Giveaway

I remember as a child I loved reading Zoobooks. I did not have a subscription, but I can remember going to the dentist’s office and reading them in the waiting room. Honestly, I had no idea these books were still around until I was contacted by the marketing manager of Zoobooks. I was very excited because my two children absolutely love animals and learning about them!

About Zoobooks:

Zoobooks is the everything-you-wanted-to-know-but-didn’t-know-where-to-look children’s resource for animals. Each Zoobooks explores the anatomy, habitat, socialization, and ecological role of a single animal or animal group in a vibrant, easy-to-understand way. The Zoobooks trademark design combines stunning photography with beautiful life-like illustration and captivating text that kids just love – guaranteed!

Zoobooks is published by Wildlife Education, Ltd., established in 1980 to provide wild learning fun for children of all ages. Since then, the Wildlife Education family of award-winning publications has grown to include:

  • Zootles, for younger readers 3 to 6 years old, launched in 2005
  • Zoobies, for the littlest learners 0 to 3 years old, launched  in 2008
  • Critters Up Close, durable board books about animals for young explorers 0 to 6 years old.

Millions of young readers have grown up with award-winning Zoobooks, Zootles and Zoobies, developing key learning skills while having fun reading about something they love – animals, animals and more animals. And the learning goes beyond the page with:

  • digital subscriptions
  • a Secret Jungle website with just-for-kids animal games, puzzles and quizzes
  • e-Safari email adventures that trek to the best animal sites on the web

It’s been over 30 years since John Wexo hatched the idea for Zoobooks while standing in front of a primate enclosure at the zoo. His idea was simple: to create a colorful, concise, informative series of animal books to share with children that could be purchased at zoos through vending machines. The vending machine gave way to subscription sales, and Zoobooks was soon being shipped to hundreds of thousands of subscribers around the world. To meet the clamoring demand of librarians, the first hardcover editions of Zoobooks were produced in 1983.

Now you can find Zoobooks, Zootles and Zoobies in homes, schools and libraries around the world. You can buy them by subscription or by single editions in the Zoobooks web store,  in select bookstores and in finer zoo, museum, aquarium and park gift shops and specialty retailers around the country.

Zoobooks offers many different subscriptions for kids of all ages. I have an 8 and 5 year old so I reviewed all of the offered subscriptions. Zoobies for ages 0-3, Zootles for ages 3-6, Zoodinos for ages 5 and up and Zoobooks for ages 6-12. Each issue is themed around a specific animal or group of animals, discussing habits and habitat in depth so the reader gains a thorough understanding. Each book also comes ad free, each page is filled with information about the animals.

Zoobies and Zootles are perfect for my 5 year old who is learning to read. He is enjoying learning facts about Alligators, as well as sounding out the words and reading! My 8 year old loves Zoodinos and Zoobooks. She is a BIG animal lover, so she was so excited to receive these. While she was reading she would look over to me and tell me all of the great facts she was learning about Elephants!  The books are illustrated with beautiful photos and drawings. I love how each subscription comes with games, activities, animal questions, stickers, posters and coloring sheets! The Elephant book received even came with really cool fact cards about different animals!

With each subscription, you will receive a hard copy and a digital copy! This is great for airplane trips and for road trips! These subscriptions would also make great gifts for any animal lover you know! Click here to order!
Connect with Zoobooks: Website  Facebook  Instagram
*I received complimentary samples of the magazines. All opinions are my own.

****GIVEAWAY****

One lucky reader will win a subscription of their choice to either Zoobooks, Zootles, Zoobies or Zoodinos! Offer valid to U.S. residents only. Giveaway ends on 4/10/2017.

Tips To Keep Kids Entertained and Engaged During A Tour

A guided tour is a wonderful source of both entertainment and education. However, a tour may not always be captivating enough for your little one. If you are gearing up for a family tour, make sure you have activities and gadgets that can supplement the fun. Whether it is an art, architecture, restaurant, wildlife, nature or city tour, there are effective ways of keeping your kids entertained and involved. Here are some tips to help you keep your children occupied and engaged during a summer guided tour:

Fun Family Games

When you are on the tour, have some games at the ready. There are classic games that may keep your kids entertained if they are of a younger age, like iSpy or a quantity game where they keep track of specific entities. You can also create a scavenger hunt before you go on your tour, so the experience is one that has an air of competition and mystery. For example, you could create a scavenger hunt for an art museum, where you children must identify different works of art — i.e. paintings by a specific artist, a style of art, a type of sculpture or a piece that’s from a certain time period. This kind of scavenger hunt should be scaffolded, so they are still involved with the tour but also have a side project they can use as additional entertainment. You can also play a quiz game to be administered throughout the tour or at the end of the tour. The quiz can consist of questions related to the tour, which will help fuel your children’s motivation to engage in the content of the tour. Make sure you provide a worthy incentive — a coveted prize — if they perform well on the quizzes.

Essential Gadgets

Your digital natives will crave technological stimulation while they are on the tour. Luckily, there are ways you can integrate tech devices into the experience. Ask the tour company that is guiding your experience if they have any devices your child can use during the tour. Museums and city tours will often have tour guide headsets that let your children explore in-depth information about what they’re seeing. This kind of gadget is perfect for children who have a natural curiosity and are active learners. However, if your children aren’t stimulated by straight-forward knowledge and require a more creative outlet, you can provide them with a tablet where they can create a visual depiction of what they are seeing. Tablet art and drawing programs make it easy for your child to draw their own art in response to the content of the tour. You can also provide them with a smartphone for looking up relevant facts and streaming videos. Avoid having to worry about data overages and bring a phone featuring a 4G LTE network.

Designated Photographer

Have your child act as the official photographer of the tour. You want a documented account of the experience, and this is a great way you can preserve your memories, as well as involve your child. A smartphone camera is probably the most age-appropriate option as it is a user-friendly device with an easy-to-access camera. Lend your kids a durable smartphone that can capture quality photos and video. Provide your child with some direction of the kind of photos they should aim for, so their photos are tour-focused. You could brainstorm this list with your child before you embark on the tour, involving them in the planning process. You could also map out video plot frames, representative of events that will likely occur on the tour. They can then record the tour with intention, so they may later edit the video and present it to the entire family.
