A working mom trying to do it all ....and succeeding!
Both of my kids are in elementary school. Their things can get lost such as hats, jackets, water bottles and lunch boxes during the year . I hate writing their names in permanent marker on the items, so I have wanted to try labels instead for awhile now. I was able to review a set of labels from Label Daddy.
Label Daddy offers peel and stick labels for school items, camp items and household items. They are water resistant and UV resistant.
Here is a list of what Label Daddy offers:

Going on a long journey in the car can cause headaches for families. You need to keep the kids occupied while ensuring you do the journey in the quickest time possible. You need to make sure you get the car ready so that it’s a smooth trip for everyone. Here are some common errors families make when they go on a journey in the car.
They forget to fill up before they go
One common error families make when they go on a long journey in the car is they don’t fill up before they get on their way. They think that they should be fine for a few miles, and they will stop at a gas station on the way. However, if you have never done the route before, you won’t know where the gas stations are. You might not find one for miles when your car needs some petrol or diesel, and you may end up breaking down on the road. Therefore, fill up before you go at your local gas station so that the journey goes smoothly for your family!
They forget to take a traditional map
Another common error families make when they go on a long journey in the car is that they rely on the sat nav. They hope that it will get them to their destination. But you can’t rely on just the sat nav to get you there. They often can go wrong, and if your battery fails, you won’t be able to use it to find your way to the destination. Therefore, you need to take a traditional map with you. You can follow that, as well as looking at the sat nav, to ensure you are going the right way. Map out your route before you go, so you have a good idea of roads you need to take on the journey.
They don’t have the car manual with them
An additional common error families make when they go on a long journey in the car is they don’t take the car manual with them. They may break down on the journey and are not sure what’s wrong with the car. If they had the manual with them, they could check what the issue may be and know how to resolve it. You should always keep the repair manual in the car. If you do get stuck without one, you could download one from sites such as tradebit manuals. That way, you can fix the car easily and get back on the road again.
They don’t take enough to keep the kids busy
Another common error families make when they go on a long journey in the car is they don’t take enough items with them to keep the kids busy. You don’t want them moaning during the journey that they are bored. You need to make sure they have a book and a toy to keep them occupied. Here are some other travel activities to keep the kids busy on the way. Take a blanket with you for the kids, just in case they get cold on the long journey. It could double up as a picnic blanket when you stop for a rest break!
Remember to bring some water with you in the car. It will quench your family’s thirst while you are stuck in traffic.

Many moms decide to stay at home with the children after they start a family. Some like to return to work as soon as possible to develop their careers and provide for the family. What many moms will agree on is that would love to have it all, but find striking the right balance difficult. Some mos either struggle to just be at home, while others struggle with long hours and less time at home. Why does it have to be so hard?
However, more moms are striking out on their own terms these days. Finding a great balance between being at home with the children and providing an income for the family. How do they do that? By researching and considering money making ideas they can do from home. With that in mind, I thought I would share with you some of the ways you too could have it all.
Buying and selling online
Thanks to great selling platforms like eBay and Etsy, it makes selling things online much easier these days. All can be done from the convenience of your smartphone or desktop computer. Selling items online could be anything. From having a good clearout of your home to items you have made yourself. It’s a great way of testing the water for a potential at home business. It is a simple as taking a photograph of the item you want to sell, describing it in detail and uploading it on to the site. Once the item is sold you then just need to post it out to the buyer. You could even do this online and take advantage of great offers and savings at onlinestamp.net.
Another thing to consider would be hunting out bargains online or in thrift shops and garage sales. Then selling these on for a profit. Many moms take advantage of things like this as they are often out in the local area and are able to obtain these bargains. Doing research online and sticking with things you like is a great place to start when it comes to buying and selling things.
Upcycle pieces of furniture and older items
You could take the buying and selling thing one step further and consider upcycling some furniture. Buying worn out smaller pieces and giving them a coat of paint could give that piece of furniture a new lease of life. Websites like YouTube offer great tutorials on how to make more of vintage pieces.
Starting a blog
If you like the online world and are creative in writing, then why not consider starting a blog? This is a great thing to do to help keep your creative juices flowing, while potentially helping others. Think about the things you are interested in. You could begin to document your family life or have a focus on food or beauty. Make sure it’s something you are interested in to keep the passion in writing. What blogging can then offer you is items for reviewing purposes. Commissioned articles to feature on your blog, and many advertising opportunities. Some bloggers can earn a lot of money. However, this is something that takes a lot of time, patience, and a little luck. So don’t expect to earn from your blog straightaway. This is something to consider as a hobby that could potentially develop into a money making idea you can do from home. A great place to start would be to checkout a free blogging platform like WordPress.
Turning a hobby into something
Are you passionate about something? Do you have a hobby where you create things that often get complimented? The why not consider turning that hobby into something more. Thanks to online platforms and easy website builders many people can start an at home business just by doing something they love. Perhaps it is Knitting or crocheting. Maybe it’s creating fun personalized decor pieces. Whatever it is why not make some money from it?
Many website builders offer an ecommerce option. Giving you the chance to sell from a site. Also Paypal makes payment easy and secure, so why wouldn’t you want to advance on something that already is a clear hit amongst friends and family? Many great businesses started as an idea from home. The next one could be yours.
Betting
Many people make money on online betting sites. There are now more games on the internet than ever before, so there is something for everyone! Now there are so many websites to choose from, it’s crucial to keep an eye out for the best deals. For example, you can easily find casino rewards on websites by clicking this link. Whether you’re wanting to bet on real sports games, or games you play online, make sure to take advantage of the money you’re able to win.
Making crafts for events
If you are great at crafting then there will always be a need for your services. Perhaps you good at designing on the computer, or maybe create beautiful intricate pieces. Many people love the idea of a DIY look for things like weddings and invitations for events. If this is something you have an eye for then perhaps you could offer your services.
Social media influencer
Do you spend a lot of time on social media? Then why not use that time and put it to good use and become a social media influencer. There are many options you could consider. You could perhaps create a Facebook page where you share deals and tips. Maybe you might want to utilise social media to sell a product or service? Some brands want nothing more than an honest opinion from a parent. A voice that can be related to amongst their own followers. Learn how to grow instagram followers. This is where running social media accounts could form part of your at home business plan. Some companies pay a lot of money for a great digital social media person. The beauty is that you can continue to do it from home. Thanks to scheduling tools you don’t need to be glued to the computer screen every minute of the day.
Mystery shopping
Finally, mystery shopping is a great way to earn a bit of extra cash. There are many ways a company would want your services. It might be navigating their website. Perhaps speaking on the phone to a department and rating how your query was handled. It could mean visiting places and trying things out like restaurants or attractions. The great thing is that these tend to be reimbursed along with a fee for your time. So you get to enjoy the process and still make some money. Some people have made big bucks doing this.
I hope this has inspired you to consider some of the ways you could make some extra money from home.
