Backyard Ocean Pool Review

My contributor, Terra was sent Backyard Ocean Review (8×26 float to fill ring pool) to review. Opinions are her own.

Set up was very easy! You fill up the ring with air, spread the pool out and fill with water. It did take a while for the pool to fill up (about two hours). Make sure it is on a level surface as well! I set it up on a bit of a slant, and we couldn’t fill it entirely.

The kids still had fun though! We did use an air pump to fill the ring. I imagine it would be quite tiring, and time consuming to do by mouth. From start to fill up, it took a couple of hours. There is no pump on this one to keep the water fresh, so you will have to drain it and clean in it at some point. I was very impressed with how durable and sturdy the material is. If taken care of, this pool could definitely be used year after year! Our little dog got in, and his nails didn’t even pop the ring. Even though it is a small pool my kids had a blast. A few of the neighbor kids came over and, between the five of them, they all took turns running and jumping in.

It came with two nice sized beach balls as well! The value of this pool is great. It’s a very affordable way to entertain your kids in the backyard when they need to cool off in the summer. Overall, I would recommend this product to others.

JORD Wooden Watch Review

I love watches! I own quite a few, however my husband only owns one. When I was asked to do a review on a wood watch by JORD, I thought of my husband immediately since he has been saying he wants to buy a new watch, specifically one that would look great with dress shirts or casual wear. He decided to review the 94A Series Chocolate. JORD wooden watches come in a series of different wood colors and styles, and there are several models to choose from. Below is some information on the 94A

The 94A is JORD’s first mixed material watch, presented with a square dial and metallic face. The gridded center echoes the styling of the multi-sized link band. With clean lines and angled features the 94A maintains a distinct masculinity. Industrious and established watch wearers will be drawn to the streamlined styling of this timepiece. Each JORD watch is designed to be splash proof but is not intended for complete submergence in water. Also note that due to the nature of the wood chosen for each unique timepiece, colors and grain pattern may vary from photos.

When we received the watch, it came in a beautiful wooden box and also came with additional links, a small little JORD pillow and a cleaning cloth. The face of the watch is protected by a film that you can remove. My husband had the watch sized specifically for his wrist prior to shipping, which is great that JORD offers that, saves him a trip to the Jeweler!

When he put the watch on he said the fit was perfect. He wore the watch on the first day for about 4 hours and said it was very comfortable and light weight. He was outside quite a bit in the Florida heat and his wrist did get sweaty underneath the watch, but a normal amount which is expected. He wore this watch with casual t-shirt, and also wore it to work with a button down dress shirt. It looked fabulous with both options. I took a few pictures so you can see the watch with each option. He spends a lot of time on the computer, and he did say it was very comfortable on his wrist while he was typing.

What my husband loves about the 94A:

• Lightweight for a wooden watch option

• Face of the watch is nice and large and also includes the date

• Clasp is easy to manipulate

• The 100% all natural wooden band is absolutely stunning

• Very good craftsmanship.

• Very unique.

The watch looks great with different clothing options and is very comfortable. If you are looking for a very unique, beautiful and sustainable watch, a wooden watch from JORD would be a perfect fit.

Have you seen Inside Out yet? It’s a must see summer movie for you and your kids. I took my seven year old daughter and we both really liked the movie. There were some very funny parts. One thing I told my daughter as we left was, sometimes you have to have sad days to have happy days.

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

From an adventurous balloon ride above the clouds to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award®-winning director Pete Docter (“Monsters, Inc.,” “Up”) has taken audiences to unique and imaginative places. Free Chick fil A Tuesday July 14th

Tomorrow, July 14th is Dress Like a Cow Day at Chick fil A. Make sure to go in for breakfast, lunch or dinner and get your FREE FOOD!

We’ve done this for the past six years and always have a great time. It’s as easy as wearing black and white clothing and then adding cut out spots. We just tape our spots on in the parking lot. We also printed out some signs to hang around our necks.

My kids love to play with Frisbees, so I was very excited to review the Superdisc and see how they like it, and how it compares to other Frisbees.
