Another Terracycle Giveaway!

In honor of my son’s first day of school today, I’m giving away a Terracycle pencil case, notebook and 3 pencils. (sorry about the picture, it was the best I could do)

Terracycle is a company that recycles non recyclable materials, such as juice pouches, candy wrapper, chip bags and more. You can go to their website and sign up to collect these and other items and Terracycle will donate $.02 per wrapper or pouch to the charity or school of your choice.

Check out their website for more information. They are doing far more than I’ve listed here.

There are several ways to enter. If you already do one of them, just let me know in an entry. Please leave your email in the entry as well.

I'm a mother of 2 who likes to get involved in too much! Besides writing here I started a non-profit, I'm on the PTO board, very active in my community and volunteer in the school. I enjoy music, reading, cooking, traveling and spending time with my family. We just adopted our 3rd cat and love them all!

  10. I use pieces of cardboard from boxes to ship Etsy orders. We also reuse glass/plastic containers for different storage items.

  17. I learned that Terracycle has store-specific collection bins at Home Depot, Petco, OfficeMax and Best Buy to encourage consumers to recycle products.

    We take the toilet paper roll inside cardboard to the local Humane Society where they stuff it with PB for the dogs we're told.

  20. To name some stuffts that I reuse : containers, jars, and also cereal boxes (for mag holders).

  21. I love to reuse food containers for planting seedlings.

    I especially love egg cartons for this, since they can plant right in the ground.

    I use gallon milk jugs to take water to the beach to rinse our feet before we get in the car.

  25. I reuse boxes things come in to pack away other things or to mail things.

  26. We reuse yogurt cups and other plastic containers to use for hubbys lunches, fruit salad, green salad, etc, hold well and are a nice portion size!

    I reuse most containers for food storage, lunchboxes, and craft supplies. We recycle all papers for nonessential computer print jobs.

    I reuse cardboard boxes (shipping and food cartons) for craft projects for myself and my 4 year old. My favorite project was making a once homely looking shoebox into a gorgeous ribbon organizer.

    I reuse my glass jars from spaghetti to hold my beans, I put the glass jar that has wax bits in it in the freezer so that I can clean it out and use it for crafts, I keep scrap material for "rag-a-muffin" wreaths. 🙂
