The Keeper – Book Review/Giveaway

I was lucky enough to be on another Amish Book Tour. If you read my blog, you know I’m into Amish romance books. I just finished reading The Keeper, by Suzanne Woods Fisher, let me tell you about it.

The story is based on Julia and Paul’s on and off again wedding plans. Everytime the Bee Man comes to town, Paul postpones the wedding. The Bee man is a traveling Amish bachelor that keeps to himself. Roman Troyer, the Bee Man loves to visit Julia’s family’s farm and Julia’s father. He notices how much Julia’s father is deteriorating after heart problems and sticks around longer than normal to help out the farm.

Will there be romance between Julia and the Bee Man or will Julia convince Paul to marry her. I don’t wan t o give away the story line. You have to read it to find out!

I love reading Suzanne Woods Fisher books and can’t wait for the next chapter in this series.

If you’ve never read an Amish romance, don’t be afraid that it’s about the Amish Culture, these are wonderful, pure books. I love them!

I can’t wait to visit Amish country this summer!!!

Want to win a copy of The Keep for yourself? I was given an extra copy to give to away!! See below for details.

I received a copy to facilitate this review and one to giveaway. Opinions are my own.

About Suzanne:
Her interest in the Amish began with her grandfather, W.D. Benedict, who was raised Plain. She has many, many Plain relatives living in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, and travels back to Pennsylvania, as well as to Ohio, a couple of times each year for research.
Suzanne has a great admiration for the Plain people and believes they provide wonderful examples to the world. In both her fiction and non-fiction books, she has an underlying theme: You don’t have to “go Amish” to incorporate many of their principles–simplicity, living with less, appreciating nature, forgiving others more readily– into your life.
When Suzanne isn’t writing or bragging to her friends about her first new grandbaby (!), she is raising puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. To Suzanne’s way of thinking, you just can’t take life too seriously when a puppy is tearing through your house with someone’s underwear in its mouth.

  12. Hi Anne!
You know what I most appreciated about your review of “The Keeper?” You encouraged people who don’t necessarily like Amish fiction to read it. That means so much to me! I hope the characters in these stories are so vivid that you aren’t conscious that they are Amish. After all, they are people, just like us. Thanks for being a part of the blog tour! Impressed with your many readers! Warmly, Suzanne
