Summer Plans

Summer is coming! We are looking forward to playing outside and exploring our new town. I already told my son that most of our summer will be sightseeing like the tourists!

I have a few things already planned, like Alligator Farm in St. Augustine. Touring the Flagler College is also on the list. While that may seem boring, the building and architecture is beautiful! I’m sure I’ll put some more St. Augustine day trips on our agenda.

I really want to check out Jacksonville, too! There is so much to do here and us being new to the area, we have so much to see! I heard the Jacksonville Zoo is beautiful! And let’s not forget the beaches! I already got us some Living Social coupons for Dairy Queen for after a long hot day at the beach!

But… I know there will be some hot days and we will not want to go outside at all! Here’s where movies and computers come into play! There are some great movies coming out this summer and I’m sure we will also be renting our fair share.

Computer games are fun too. I will be having the kids do some computer “school” as well to keep their minds fresh over the summer! And when it comes to just having fun on the computer, I found a new website where you can play games online; it’s called Iplay, and they have games available streaming online or to download. They have games just for women and kids too. I was checking it out and started playing Bubble Town. It’s kind of like the Bubble Blaster on my phone, which my daughter and I play all the time!

Then I found Kindergarten for Savannah to play. It’s more like a daycare where you have to take care of the babies. After playing two games she turned to me and said, “Taking care of babies is hard work!” So true!

The main thing I am looking forward to this summer? Sleeping in!
