With the new year approaching, have you considered taking up a new hobby, maybe on your own or with your family? Well maybe gardening is just for you! It’s something you can do as a family, and all get stuck in! It teaches children responsibility, and achievement, was well as giving you a beautiful garden in the mean time! However many people who aren’t ‘gardening experts’ can get a little stuck with where to start. It can be quite a daunting tasks for some; however help is at hand. Below is an infographic which displays everything you need to know to have your own perfect garden in 2014! It lets you know when it’s best to do what, i.e. when to prepare the ground, plant, etc. By following the simple guide, you’ll be a gardening pro!

  14. This is a great breakdown! I can’t seem to get anything to grow here {the extreme heat all summer doesn’t help} but I would love to have a garden some day.

  15. I wish I could have a garden calendar …. but our brutal summers (which are about 9 months long, it seems) make it SO hard to do anything. The heat and drought destroyed everything I planted last year.

    I enjoy working in the yard. It is therapeutic for me in several ways. I usually know what needs to be done from just looking at my yard but this chart is a good source to help me remember the things that aren’t visibly obvious.
