We’ve eaten the same spaghetti sauce for 15 years. Prego was it and we’ve always liked it. I always wanted to try new ones, but knew my family liked it. Well, now that we’re spending less on groceries with coupons and sales we are also trying new things. My husband said sure let’s try something new. ( I never knew he’d try different sauces, he’s very picky)
The last time we tried Ragu (it was bogo and I had coupons). And this past week Publix had Barilla on sale BOGO. Let me tell you, we really liked it! I made baked ziti last night with it and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I never would have bought that brand six months ago.
We are also buying different laundry soaps. We always bought Tide at BJ’s, but now buy whatever’s on sale and/or have a good coupon for. We haven’t been disappointed yet.
So being frugal definitely means you can’t be brand loyal, but don’t worry, you may like something else better!!
I have always liked products and when challenged to change I found out how many things are good. I don't buy anything processed anymore and that is truly a challenge. Good luck and thanks for the product review. You never know when I will slip back. Smile
I totally agree. We have learned to branch out from our normal to save money too. My parents were always buying the exact same stuff. I think my kids are going to be less picky because we don't keep them so structured with one brand.
I agree with you about trying different stuff.
I have an award on my blog for you, if you want it.
Kim
I have never been brand loyal…just can't afford to be…but most times I'm not disappointed!
