Okay so you know I love to find green products. I’m not sure if everyone has heard of Seventh Generation or not but I’m here to introduce them to you if you haven’t. They’ve actually been around for 20 years! Their mission is to help protect our world with their naturally safe and effective household products.
Seventh Generation has so many more products than I knew of. I knew they had cleaning products, such as glass cleaners, shower cleaners and laundry soap. But I did not know that also carry, 100% recycled paper towels, napkins and recycled trash bags. They also carry
Chlorine free diapers and training pants. And get this, they have chlorine free pantyliners and organic tampons!
What I love most are the ingredients in their products – essential oils, lemongrass, coconut, orange and pomegranate to name a few. And, what’s not in them is the very best part, right?
I was able to review their Living Home Starter Kit, which contains:
Glass Cleaner – Grapefruit – which Hunter used this weekend on our french doors and worked beautifully. I didn’t have to worry about the fumes.
All-Purpose Cleaner – Green Mandarin – Works on everything.
Toilet Bowl Cleaner – Emerald – works just as well as the other brands
Shower Cleaner – Green Mandarin
Tub & Tile Cleaner
Kitchen Cleaner – I use everyday on kitchen counter tops and stovetop.
(2) Natural Paper Towels – 120 Count
Reusable Tote
All of their products are non-toxic & biodegradable. They do not create harsh fumes, any smells are very pleasant and fresh. The products are not tested on animals and are all safe for septic systems.
Check out their website too. There are coupons for several of their products, not just one. And there is a ton of information about their products and about being green. There are videos to watch, a section called Ask Science Man. So many cool things to learn.
Seventh Generation has kindly offered one Mommy Has to Work reader a Living Home Starter Kit for themselves.

Myth #1: Cleaning Smells Good.
The Truth: Clean has no scent! Unless a product uses natural essential oils and botanical extracts like Seventh Generation, if you smell something when the work is done, it's most likely artificial fragrances or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) left behind for your family to breathe!
lynnx512 at gmail dot com
I leaarned that "green" products can be just as effective at cleaning/disinfencting than harsher chemicals!
the scents they use in their products are created from only pure and whole plant and flower essences.
