Glue Dots

I had the opportunity to try out Glue Dots, through Twittermoms. What are Glue Dots. Well, they’re exactly what it sounds like, little dots of glue. Glue Dots Adhesives are a safer, easier, mess-free alternative to typical tapes and glue guns. I have a glue gun and am always scared to get it out and plug it in.I worry one of the kids will touch it, or it will fall over and make a mess. Regular glue can make a mess too. Well, Glue Dots provide the strength you need in an adhesive without the mess and dry time required of liquid glues. Glue Dots bond instantly to a wide variety of surfaces including: Paper/photos, Metal, Wood, Plastic, Textiles/Fibers, Plastic, Foam, and more!
I was asked to make a project with my Glue Dots and instead of one big project , I did a few smaller projects. The card above was made with construction paper, pictures and Glue Dots. The posters above were hung with the Glue Dots.(They did fall down a day later)

The window ledge above was covered in protective padding using Glue Dots. This has held up great too! Glue Dots are Acid Free and Non-Toxic. To see more on this visit Twittermoms. And visit Glue Dots on Facebook for more fun project ideas!

  1. I used glue dots to decorate the teacher's door during teacher appreciation week. I used them to stick on the butterflies and flowers and the next morning most of them fell down on the ground. The kids asked what happened and I just told them that the butterflies wanted to take flight! I was using the medium profile, high tack glue dots and initially they held and were still sticky the next morning but just cold not hold the items for a long period. I ended up using scotch tape on the back. Here is the link to my project: http://bigfootandpickleface.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
