What is Happiness? Everyone has a different answer to that question. Some people think money makes them happy or lots of clothes or the latest electronics. Happiness for me is family. My family.
I’ve wanted to be a mother ever since I was sixteen. Am I glad I waited! So family makes me happy and I want to make them happy in return. One thing us moms try to do is make our family happy. It’s not always easy but we try! What I do to make my family happy?
I love to wake the kids up by singing or tickling them. Who doesn’t want to wake up to giggles and smiles? There is a favorite rhyme from a Baby Bug book that I always say to them about waking up.
I like to add special treat to their lunches. Or maybe tuck in a little note. It’s getting harder to do that one with my 10 year old son, but I try.
Movie night is a big hit at our house. The kids get to pick a movie, old or new and they get to pick the snacks. If it’s not movie night it karaoke night. We LOVE karaoke! We all enjoy our time together. Saturday nights are a happy event!
I love to make my kids laugh by singing in the car. We all rock out to the radio like rock stars. Just the other day my son and I were listening to the 80’s and had a blast!
I make my family happy by feeding them yummy dinners. I try to make the things they like. Lots of kid friendly dinners here. When I make something new it always has ingredients that I know they will love.
A few weeks ago, I took off a few days from work to spend time with the kids. It was a great week! We slept in a little and played at the park. We all pitched in and did little improvements around the house. Just spending time together as a family made all us happy. It was wonderful! Sometime it’s not what you do, it’s what you don’t do that makes us happy.
Finally, I make my family happy by being happy myself and taking care of myself. It isn’t an easy thing to do sometimes, but moms need to take care of themselves so we can take care of our family.

We sound a lot a like. I sing a special song to my little girl to wake her up. We all love to dance crazy and I'm forever calling my children goofy names.
Sorry we missed each other Sat, not sure if you are going to be at the field this Sat. We have a 10:30 am game.
